"As promised the bed was FABULOUS! Cabin and yard were cozy and we really enjoyed the birds,view, and privacy. There was no AC and it got very warm in the evenings but cooled nicely by 1:00am. Kitchen was great but NO MICROWAVE. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there but never paid more and got less even WITHOUT TV. Location was great, easy to get to town, easily followed directions. Website alluded you would be part of James Ranch but that is NOT TRUE"

"Great property with unbeatable views. It is secluded but there are several neighbors nearby so you are not up on a mountain all alone. You can see and hear the trains as they come and go throughout the day! We went in July and it was very warm. The evenings/mornings were comfortable but the mid day was very warm, even with the fans provided and windows open. There are no blackout/darkening curtains on the lower level (which for us was the kid level) which meant the kids were up with the sun.. about 6am every day. The giant closet off the master was a great landing point for all our luggage and clothes and kept everything from getting too scattered. We will always remember the blue roof house on the mountainside!"

"We absolutely loved our stay at Hermosa Hideaway! From the moment we walked in, it felt warm, inviting, and beautifully designed. The décor strikes the perfect balance between modern mountain charm and cozy comfort, and every space felt intentional.What really stood out were all of the thoughtful little details. The kitchen was stocked with a great selection of coffees, teas, creamer, and everything you need to settle in without making an immediate trip to the store. The bathrooms were equally well-appointed with quality essentials that made it feel more like staying at a friend's beautifully curated home than a typical vacation rental.The natural light throughout the home is incredible. The large windows, high ceilings, and open layout make the space feel bright, airy, and relaxing from morning to evening. It was the perfect place to unwind after exploring Durango and the surrounding mountains.If you're looking for a place where you can truly arrive, unpack, and immediately feel at home, Hermosa Hideaway is it. We would absolutely stay here again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone visiting the Durango area."

"We had a wonderful stay at Tall Spruce Tree House. The host was very responsive and helpful, rooms were clean and exactly as pictured. The kitchen was clean, spacious and well stocked. It was the perfect size to hold our large group. The location is beautiful and peaceful. We would definitely stay there again."
