  • We had a great ride on the Durango & Silverton Railroad. Lots of snow melt and some whitewater rapids that were off the scale. Several avalanches have occurred near train lines this Spring. We stopped for a couple hours in Silverton for quick bite to eat and shop. Silverton, CO reminded us of our recent inner passage cruise that stopped in Skagway, Alaska.

This was my third time staying at Holly’s s place. It was the perfect size for us. The location was great for walking into town which we did quite a bit. The Animas River is located a street away. We loved sitting on the porch watching the city deer hang out in the yard. Holly’s place had everything we needed and she was very responsive.

Perfect cute place

Cute, simple place in a great neighborhood. Nice kitchen to cook in. Comfortable beds. Perfect home base for a couple days in the durango area. All thumbs up!

nice small house

clean older house that has been somewhat remodeled. Nice kitchen with newer appliances. Well stocked kitchen equipment. Coffee was provided. Not inexpensive, but Durango is a summer vacation spot.

Great little place, great location!

We had a very short day. But the house was great. Located really close to the Riverwalk and access to downtown. Lots of nature. We saw deer in the front yard when we arrived, the place was clean and comfortable. Will definitely stay there again!

Great little spot

The house is perfect for a quick visit to Durango. We could walk to the downtown, but it was a calm and quiet neighborhood. The house is very very clean and was perfect for our 2 day stay.

Cozy house, convenient location

This was our second time at this property (it’s white with green trim now), and glad we returned to it for another FLC graduation weekend. Parks are just down the street, easy access to pedestrian bridge over the river to grab last minute groceries and beer for a small open house. Quiet and safe. Share the yard with deer. It was perfect.

Super stay in Durango

What a great spot to stay! Our crew of 4 adults thoroughly enjoyed this renovated home so well placed near the river walk. I enjoyed starting our very busy days with an early morning walk to the grocery store via this path. The house is very comfortable and well outfitted. We would definitely stay here again.

Location, location, location!

We have stayed all over Durango (Purgatory, Cascade Village, hotels, etc.) and THIS place is by far the best! Easy walking distance to downtown, the train station, etc. The neighborhood is quaint and quiet; so much so that deer wonder the area and bed down in the backyard many times. Truly a gem right in the middle of Durango. Do it, book it, you’ll be glad you did!

Tiny toilet hard for seniors to use. . Towels were damp when first used...made me wonder??? Pluses were: Very convenient! Beautiful side and back yard. Kitchen super clean. Washer/dryer nice to have. Nice shades & curtains for sleeping. Quiet street.

The house was extremely clean and welcoming. It’s located in an absolutely beautiful neighborhood. I would honestly buy this as a forever home if it were available. Great renting experience in a great neighborhood in a great house.

4 Days in Durango

This home was very neat, clean and comfortable. The neighborhood deer hanging out in the yard was a fun surprise as was hearing the Durango to Silverton train whistle several times a day. Being near the lovely Animas River trail was beneficial for morning walks. The host was responsive to our questions in a timely and helpful manner.

Wonderful stay in cute place near historic district.

Nice renovated older home. Perfect for our needs. Added bonus was a family of deer would go through the yard every night. Pluses: newly renovated and very clean. Handy location Not so pluses: low water pressure (not host's fault). We managed just fine. One house next door was a bit messy. Otherwise a good neighborhood. Would stay there again!

Perfect location for ski getaway

Our stay at this vacation rental home was simply fantastic! The location was superb, with paved trails right at our doorstep, perfect for walks, jogs, or bike rides. One of the highlights was the proximity to skiing, just 30 minutes away. This allowed us to easily access the slopes and then return to walk to town for shopping and dining. The neighborhood was peaceful and quiet. The home comfortably accommodated our family of five. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this vacation rental to anyone looking for a convenient, comfortable, and enjoyable stay in a great location.

SUPER CLEAN. Great old house. I would guess this house was built in the 1930's and still has charm. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. The only negative is there isn't any blinds in the kitchen. Set in an area very close to Downtown Durango with beautiful Old Growth Trees and Bushes. YES, I would live here.

Great location

Very cute and clean property, great location, just a couple minute drive away from old town and Durango Silverton train depot, witch was the main purpose of our trip. Only down sides was that one of the tv remotes had no batteries, we did find a some spare batteries unfortunately wrong size, also all VRBO properties I have stayed it had a small supply of coffee pods for Keurig coffee maker there was a good supply of tea pod however, just a little thing but always appreciated. I did love the property enjoyed watching the deer roaming the yard in the evening and early mornings. I would definitely recommend this property.
