Beautiful Home

Great Stay

This house was great for my family over a long weekend. It is very new and stocked with comfortable furniture and everything you need for meals. Communication with the host was quick and easy. Would definitely stay again.

Great Property

We really enjoyed our stay. The layout of home was great and everyone loved it. Big rooms and beds, great common area and a fantastic outdoor area. We chose this home as it only had a two stairs needed to access the home - we were traveling with 3 grandparents with mobility issues so it worked great. The only thing that would have made this home perfect for us would have been grab/assist bars in the bathrooms to further assist those needing assistance.

Magical Vacation Rental

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Guys trip with some old college friends. Durango is awesome! Plenty of things to do and see. We had a great time hiking and then eating all kinds of great food and catching up. The property was immaculate and well furnished; the views spectacular. We enjoyed seeing the train in the mornings and there is a great Cafe just down the street that had great coffee. Oh and the hot springs just a mile away are a must do!

First Time to Durango

Quick trip to downtown Durango for e-bikes, Silverton train, restaurants, shopping and everything you need for fly-fishing.

Amazing trip

The house was perfect for three families. The layout of the home was great. Very well maintained and clean. Bedrooms were a very good size and comfortable. The kitchen was very well stocked. Along with the grill outside we had all we needed to cook. The back deck was a perfect spot to gather at night. The pool table, ping pong table, and the shuffle board in the garage were a bonus. Our 5 grandsons spent a lot time out there. Loved our time there!

Great family vacation rental

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our 3-generation family vacation at Hermosa Haven. It was wonderful to have 3 king-sized beds. We used the covered back deck lots for our evening meals. Kitchen was large, living room was big enough for us all. Lots of games to play too (pool table, ping-pong table, hot tub). The grandkids spent a lot in the big backyard. It does back-up to the main highway (don't hear it inside though), but we did get to see lots of Durango-Silverton trains go by.

Hermosa Home

This house was absolutely perfect for our party of 8! It was it was very roomy. Counting the powder bath each couple had their own bathroom. Dining table and bar nicely sized for our group. Garage space for 2 of our vehicles was great. Office area at the front of the house was hardly used, but nice to have when a phone call back home was necessary. Beds comfortable, utility room nice and large, plenty of plates and glasses. Large sectional and chairs perfect for us to watch play off football and tennis! Would definitely recommend and stay here again!

It is just outside of town and easy to run back and forth each day. Our family enjoyed the views from the back deck, the boys loved playing in the creek beside the home, relaxed in the Hot Tub about every day, and would recommend this to anyone wishing a quiet place to relax at night. Conveniently located to go to the places we wanted to visit.

Also, this is the absolute best location to enjoy skiing at Purgatory and spending time in the cute downtown Durango! Five stars from us!

The house was new, very clean, beautifully furnished and equipped and so comfortable and well located. It is half way between Durango and the restaurants we enjoy downtown and the hikes we love down 550 towards Silverton. The only mention is the closeness to the Highway and the road noise from the beautiful patio and backyard.

Beautiful home in gorgeous setting that meet our needs

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed here along with our kids and young grandkids and this was perfect as there was a room for everyone. While we couldn’t all sit at one table (there were ten of us), the kids were very happy to sit together at the kitchen island. We were out a lot doing activities (train, mining tour, Mess Verde, rafting and zip lining, and this was a very comfortable place to return to and relax. The adults especially loved sitting on the back porch drinking coffee in the morning, while the young girls loved waving to the train passengers (who waved back!). We would definitely come back here.

Location, Location, Location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This beautiful home with an open floor plan and high ceilings was beautifully decorated and the perfect size for 6 adults and 5 kids. The fireplace shared by the living area and Master Bedroom was a highlight. So many amenities.. a garage filled with table games, hot tub and firepit, large back porches. The location was perfectly situated between Purgatory for the skiers and Durango for the shoppers, only a 15 minute drive each way. Loved the neighborhood and stunning view of the mountains. Would highly recommend this home!

The house is beautiful with all the top of the line furniture and the most comfortable mattresses. The game room was a great place for the kids. We spent each evening eating and playing games on the covered back porch.The house is in a great location with beautiful views of the mountains and centrally located for anything you want to see. We had a great time and would recommend this house to anyone wanting to stay in a perfect home away from home.

Fourth of July in Durango!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We absolutely loved this home. It was so spacious with comfortable seating everywhere. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds so comfortable. The shower in the master bedroom is HUGE and the water pressure fantastic. Never wanted to leave. We enjoyed playing ping pong, soaking in the hot tub and watching the train go by each morning and afternoon. The neighborhood is quiet with a small grocery store close by. It was a quick 10 min drive to downtown Durango for anything you need. Absolutely loved our stay and will definitely go again!! Communication with the management company was super easy and they made the door code really easy to remember.

So comfortable and has everything you need!

This home was perfect for our family gathering. It is a great location for exploring the wonders surrounding the Durango area and Durango itself. The kitchen is extremely well stocked! Comfortable living room seating and enough room for our family of 7 people. The hot tub and outdoor fireplaces were a hit as well. The furnishings were beautiful as well as the artwork. The one thing missing were grab bars in at least one bathroom. My 93 year old mother-in-law was not able to take a shower because of this but she did okay with “birdbaths”. The lack of grab bars seems to be a common issue in rentals for some reason. One of the king size beds sloped in the middle a bit (the room with the winter train photo)but we were able to get a good sleep. The home is very large! It is bigger than the photos show. The master bedroom could be a separate apartment! There is some highway noise if you have windows open or are outside during the day. It quiets down at night quite a bit. It was also fun to watch the Durango/Silverton train go by several times a day. Communication with our hosts was very kind, welcoming and prompt. Check in and check out was smooth. We highly recommend this home and would stay again if we are in the area.
