Easy check in and check out. The staff was very friendly. The hotel was in walking distance of Fishermans warf,pier 39 and Lombard street. The communal showers were new to me but they were very clean. The hotel is in a perfect location

Its an old hotel, but it was perfect for a short trip. Close to the Wharf, Pier and Chinatown. Big Bus tour is close by. It was awesome.

The location was splendid. Strange feeling that restrooms and showers are not in the room, but fits perfect with the atmosphere of the hotel. Real vintage. The restaurant on the groundfloor was very good. Very friendly staff

Room 30 was admittedly tiny, and there wasn't a lot of surface area to put things down - However, if you're a couple who gets along and can live snug & you like to walk about to many of the area's sights, this is a great spot. The Cilantro Taqueria and Italian restaurant literally steps away. Breakfast is just up the street at Cafe Capriccio - it's really good and usually busy, worth the wait.
