It’s right on the beach, or really close, No ice machine unless you go to another building No staff onsite, you check in and out at another hotel Parking sucks because you are fighting everyone that goes to the neach

The Inn is very well kept. Amazingly close to the beach. Just a walk to the end of the building and literally down the stairs. Very clean contemporary room. Will definitely return.

This hotel location was great for the price. It has nice updates, was very clean and had the most comfortable beds and pillows. It's too bad they didn't update the air conditioner as it made so much noise during the night it was impossible to sleep. There are only 4 parking spaces at the location & check in is at another hotel 2 blocks away & they didn't send any information about check in. A maintenance man was kind enough to take us to the check in location. We didn't mind walking but that may not work for others.

For being a oceanfront hotel/motel, the price was very reasonable, and we appreciated that there were at least a few dedicated parking spaces. This hotel has two other nearby hotels that are under the same company umbrella, so we were offered to use their parking and even their pool if wanted or needed. The actual check-in was at one of these other locations about a block and a half away. It was an easy walk, so for us not a problem. We absolutely loved our room. It did show a small amount of wear and tear, but we used to live in this neighborhood and honestly expected much more wear and tear.

The Diamond Head is a classic on Mission Beach. Excellent location, horrible parking. I took my 3 sons there 35 years ago& loved it! Remodeled, clean & the mattress was great. Nice to have a kitchenette for a weekend. Great staff will stay again

The room is right on the beach which was a huge plus point. To check in one has to go to the other property which is not too far though but should be clearly mentioned ! There is no staff o site for any help ,and no one to even call for towels etc- I had to walk to the other property to physically get fresh towels . Prefer the sea facing rooms which I think are only 3 . The gallery lights were on the whole night so there is a lit of light ent wing the room and I could t find a way to switch those off . Do nit expect luxury - it is a basic room

A great experience. Cost for the location and size of the room was spot on. A monday night cost me $117. I probably wouldn't pay too much more than that compared to what else you could get around the same area. A 2 minute walk to be on the beach is great though. Worst part of the stay is parking. Tight spots, if you can find any. Also, check-in was up the road at pb surf. We didnt know that until after we tried to check in at the diamond head office. Long story short, if the cost was the same I would stay there again to be that close to the beach and great restaurants.

The room was clean and the housekeeping and front desk staff we wonderful. The hotel provides very little in the way of amenities. The kitchenette had no towels or dish rack to wash dishes, and only one little sponge that was cut in half. We were unaware that the hotel location had no lobby and we had to walk a few blocks with our suitcases to another hotel to check in and out and this was not explained ahead of time.

It’s my second time staying in this hotel. I really love the location - right by the beach. The rooms are clean and reasonable renovated. On a negative side - parking is somewhat limited. The bathroom could benefit from a bit more shelf/ stool space to lay out toiletries. There was no counter around the sink, and no convenient location to hang my hanging toiletries bag.
