Perfect for (wine)lovers.

Fonte de’ Medici is authentic, satisfying, relaxing, good for the soul and very fulfilling. We had three nights in a standard room, and it was perfect. The restaurant was supreme with authentic Tuscany food and wine - and the staff was sweet and observant. The pool area had a fantastic view over the wine fields and Toscana landscape. Perfect place for (wine)lovers.

Tranquil stay in boutique luxury hotel

We had an amazing experience in this hotel and this area of Chianti particularly. Fonte de Medici is truly small luxury hotel which provides anything you need. Rooms are very comfortable and clean in a beautiful settings where you can smell the pine trees and lavender. There is no need to keep the AC running all night as they have mosquito nets installed on windows and constant breeze cools the area every afternoon and night. The pool is amazing with plenty of sunbeds and natural shade. The property is set in the middle of one of the most famous vineyards in Italy and the whole property belongs to one of the oldest Tuscan noble families. Breakfast is very good but the service there is even better. On the very first day the ladies at the breakfast realised I was gluten free so they brought me many different gluten free choices. This basket of goods was repeated every following morning. Thank you!!! Please be aware that many Chianti hotels, especially the old villas, have deceitful pictures, many are badly decayed and they offer poor service for high money, but Fonte de Medici is run well and it is much better then what you can see on the photos. We are coming back definitely!

Great hotel but watch out for checkout time

Reception is only open between 8am to 9pm. Be careful with checkout time if you need to leave earlier than 8am! Other than that, absolutely lovely hotel to stay in.

Nice place to stay if you want to spend quite a number of days enough to get relaxed without doing many things. however, if you are a guy who sticks to activities like doing things, looking around vigorously, it may not be a smart choice since you wouldn't find many here.

Great first impression but..

We booked a room for 6 nights using this hotel as a base to out Tuscan visit. Despite the fact that it is isolated and must have a car to get there, it is 20 minutes from the first town. The hotel has no lobby or place to read or relax except the basic dining area. The pool nice but freezing and no pool towels. The restaurant requires reservation despite the fact that it is basic and empty. Ahh Monday's it is closed and so you must get to somewhere to get anything. Wifi terrible. We left on the forth night very disappointed with the property owned by the wealthiest family in the region who must put more into this property.

Immerso nella campagna Toscana, questa struttura offre appartamenti di varie tipologie.Il borgo è costituito da un insieme di cottage ben distribuiti all'interno della tenuta formata da un grande parco ricco della tipica vegetazione toscana, tra cui ulivi e vigneti, e dove si può godere di grande tranquillità.Un posto stupendo, meraviglioso ed estremamente silenzioso.L'appartamento era dotato di tutto,non mancava nulla.pulitissimo, personale molto accogliente ,ospitalita' esemplare quindi consigliatissimo.

Fantastiskt vacker beläget ställe! Vi bodde i ett sidohus 1,5 km från huvudbyggnaden! Lite långt när man om kvällen ville gå hem från middagen.wifi lite svajigt. Men ändock ett ställe att rekommendera!
