This accommodation is a great base to explore Chianti, this huge farm house surrounded by olive groves sits atop a small mountain and oozes history back to the medieval times and beyond. Our family of 6 were comfortable in the 5 bedroom house. All services are sufficient but it's very old which is what we loved about Montefolchi. There is no air con but a huge fire place and we had some unwelcome mosquitoes which host Simone said he'd take care of. This was our oasis to marvel at the sunsets each day and enjoy the serenity. The 200+ degree view was amazing to wake up to and see the night fall after long busy days in Sienna and Florence. We would eat out evening meal out doors under the Tuscan sunsets.

The castle has wine tasting and more and we purchased Truffle Oil, Grappa, Pinot Grigio, Chianti and sparkling wines. 15% discount at the cellar door shop is available for guests.
