"This a lovely friendly hotel just outside of St Paul de Vence. There are many things to recommend it, especially the friendly and helpful team. However, you should consider it is outside of the town and although walkable (less than 3km) you are walking on roads which we did not feel comfortable to do after dark. We also went in September and discovered that the hotel restaurant was closed so the only way to have an evening meal was to leave the hotel and taxi's are not plentiful here. "

"We stayed at La Bastide Gourmande with my family for 4 nights. The new owners Antoine and Ilham have some an amazing job renovating and upgrading the hotel. They were super helpful and friendly. We will for sure return here with the family, and hopefully sometimes also only the adults, as the hotel is also a nice romantic little hideout. "

The best things about the hotel are its quiet location, the in-room air conditioning, the swimming pool, and the on-site parking. The location of the hotel is convenient: it is just a few minutes walk to the busy narrow streets of the historical center and to the Matisse Chapel.
