"Booked in for 3 nights only stayed 2. The cottage needs a deep clean desperately. The shower was absolutely filthy, the grouting was black and mouldy at the back of the taps was grimy. The shower head was grotty There were cobwebs on the beam in the bathroom Sofa had crumbs down the side and needed a good clean The radiator in the bedroom was full of dust - it has not been cleaned for years The blinds were dusty, cobweb on the mirror and skirting boards dusty Kitchen was clean Outside...

"Incredible location - right next to the sea, round the corner from the train station, Sainsburys, and town centre. There's a playground opposite for kids of all ages. Reasonable price which includes either a continental or full English breakfast. Lovely friendly staff. Warm throughout, including the bedroom. Comfortable beds and duvets. Only check in is a bit stressful because they send you the details a few hours before you arrive but it was no problem in the end. I would stay here again."

"A compact newly refurnished apartment on one level, but a steep step to get inside the front door and another steep step along the passageway. Entry is by getting the code to the keybox and this was not given by email until we were on our way! Good job I had internet, some don't! After climbing a very narrow winding staircase to our apartment - some 40 or so steps - it was disappointing to find that the rooms were very cold as no heating had been switched on in anticipation of our arrival. After switching on the underfloor heating it did begin to warm up, but to add to the frustration this did not appear to work in the main bedroom or the ‘en suite’. A free standing electric heater was provided but wasn’t easy...

"From making the booking to leaving the hotel, it was seamless. Easy to find. Parked right outside using a scratch card provided by the hotel ... So convenient. Beautiful room. Warm and comfortable. Tea, coffee, hot choc and biscuits provided. Absolutely dog friendly (some rooms, so book appropriately unlike I did) ... The owner was there if needed but the keypad system worked perfectly. Information was sent in plenty of time and access couldn't have been more plain sailing. Any questions I had were answered immediately via WhatsApp and email. I'd definitely book again. Thank you for a lovely stay ... 5🌟"

"My friend and i have just returned from a two nights trip we stay in room 4 which is a twin room on the second floor. The room was very clean and well maintained. We received a email from bill the owner the night before about gaining access to the property and the code .my friend and o had a lovely stay the property is in a great location right next to st marys church and the centre of town. We would definitely stay at this property again . When next in Whitby xx"

"This is a basic hotel, quite dated, but it is sufficient. The room was functional but very clean. If you like a cooked breakfast you’ll be happy. The free parking is really helpful. I stayed here as it was close to the hospital, and I was here under very stressful circumstances. The staff were soooo kind, way beyond helpful. Particular mention must go to Mehanez, outstanding. If I have to come back, Inwill return for these reasons."

"We stayed for two nights in the Marrakesh suite and loved it. A huge comfy bed, air conditioning, mini fridge, lots of storage and a large TV. Upstairs is a large jacuzzi bathroom complete with bathrobes and slippers. The host, Debbie was fantastic, she always seemed to be on duty and was very helpful. Breakfast was very good with a huge selection and could be taken in the dining room or in your suite."

Great selection of tea & biscuits in the room on arrival and a fridge with bottled water & milk in the hallway for all rooms to access. Breakfast was made fresh upon request.
