Fantastic stay

Really nice stay, the room was large, interestingly decorated and clean. The kids loved it and didn't want to leave. Then the breakfast, one of the best I've had, amazing. Everyone we met were friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

Whitby

Recently had a four day stay at blacksmiths boutique Room was clean and well presented with a selection of well stocked tea and coffee . Breakfast was served in the conservatory with amazing views over the hills towards the sea . We were impressed with the choice of breakfast and the host was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble . I would recommend this hotel

Bed wasn't very comfortable. Tv only had very basic stations could do with a upgrade or at least be able to connect phone to it. Shower wouldn't go above luke warm. Overall though was decent.

Disappointing stay

After reading other reviews for this property I feel we must have stayed somewhere different! We never met the hosts (or they never introduced themselves to us). When we arrived, there was a notice on the main door to ask to check in at the pub opposite, with just one lady on duty there she was extremely busy so the chef showed us to our room. The room “Seas the day” in our opinion is tired looking, the bed extremely low down with a mattress that you can feel every spring. The toilet seat doesn’t fit the toilet bowl, towels are an off white colour, very dusty extractor fan. Could only get 2 channels on TV. No hot water from sink only from shower. Breakfast was nice, enough to choose from.

The room was well presented with tea and coffee facilities. We were warmly welcomed and given any information we needed. Breakfast was plentiful, served in the conservatory at tables dedicated to the individual rooms, which felt 'safe' in the current covid situation.

Great mini break

The room was immaculate everything that you need had been thought of.The breakfast was delicious with lots of variety served in a spacious conservatory .The owners and staff were lovely helpful welcoming .We looking forward to going back ,there was nothing you could fault we had a great stay

Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated, spotless, and had things you don't find in other places such as a small fridge with fresh milk, and lovely biscuits. Very comfortable indeed. Sarah, the owner, was welcoming and very informative about local places to eat. Breakfast was excellent too.

Good Location.

We were doing a trip to Northumbria and Yorkshire and needed a base on the way back down between Whitby and Scarborough. This fitted the bill perfectly with it being about a 20 minute drive into Whitby and about 10-15 minutes to Robin Hoods Bay. We had the coastal room which was nicely decorated without being tacky. Breakfast was served in the room due to COVID restrictions. Good communication was had throughout the stay with the owners who were very friendly.

Great find.

From the welcome drink upon arrival to the goodie bag on departure nothing was too much trouble for Sarah and Nick. The rooms were clean, fresh and comfortable, bathroom towels were large and fluffy, complementery toiletries were plentiful. Due to the covid 19 situation breakfast was delivered to your room at a time of your choosing, a substantial list of breakfast items were available for you to choose from, both hot and cold. Hand sanitizer stations are situated at both ends of the one way system creating a safe environment for your stay. We would highly recommend the Blacksmiths Boutique B&B for couples and families alike. Well done to all the team.
