"Exactly as one would expect -no frills but adequate. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Service excellent. Rooms could do with upgrading as could cleanliness. Worth the money if you’re looking for a quick one night stay. Parking and charging fine. Tesco across the street a bonus."
"Beautiful spot and secluded, allowing for great walks along the cliffs, very hospitable staff, good food, welcome after a long treck, or to set us up nicely for the day with their great breakfast."
"This is a great and charming hotel. It looks a bit dated in the outside, but the facilities are great, specially the spa and food services. The town is small with great views of cliffs if you walk to the west. Lots of little shopping. The beach isn’t a plus as it’s rocky, but hotel has nice swimming options."

"A four night stay. Check in was welcoming, room fine, a great shower. Continental breakfast was adequate and had the option of a cooked breakfast on the last morning. Dinner service was fine. The drawing room on the first floor to relax, chill and read our books was very comfortable and watch the sea down the road. "
"Our room was perfect for our stay as we wanted twin bed room and had everything needed for our over night stay.
We did not stay for breakfast as we we had to travel on early next day but the tea we had in the garden was lovely.
The thatched guest house was in easy access for walks & visit to Sidmouth. Thank you "
"Quite superb. A free upgrade was the iceing on our delicious cake.
My only, minor, observation is the lack of usb/apple sockets. Easily corrected by replacing existing 3-pin with multi sockets, and so helpful in this increasingly device-dependent world."
"Lovely hotel in a peaceful and picturesque setting but only a short drive into Exeter.
Room had everything I needed and very comfortable. Pool and Spa area are amazing.
The only slight negative was the onsite restaurant, although food quality was very good the menu itself was quite limited and there wasn’t really anywhere else close by to eat in the evening."
"The restaurant shift manager/team leader Alfie was awesome, nothing was to much trouble and so pleasant, his team were enthusiastic, competent and efficient, he really made our stay "
