A little conflicted. But would have to say more style over substance. Check in was friendly and easy and quick. Hotel room was big and spacious. Location walking distance to everything. Down side. Went to get coffee after arriving early. Directed to sit in lobby of restaurant and told she would take care of us. No one ever came back. We looked around. Nothing. We left after 20 minutes of not being served. Decided to try our luck at roof top. Cold night. No heaters. Seated quickly but took 10 min for someone to take our order. Happy hour not clear so if explained would not have ordered food as well. Had to ask twice in 10 minutes to get 2 glasses of wine. It was not busy. Asked for bill and showed voucher. Was first told to see manager, but then said server would take care of. We waited. We had to get up and go to cash to pay as never came back. Cafè across corner can serve 10 at once. And quick. Mama shelter needs better staff training for restaurants. No coffee/ tea facilities in room. Could not get kettle so had to buy my own as restaurant only opens at 0700. One garbage can in room. Masks were odd. Overall great location but would suggest you just sleep and get out to the eternal city.

Excellent staff and servicing, rooms spacious and well equipped. Quirky design interesting and engaging. Only criticism is evenings in restaurant far too noisy. Presence of DJ very distracting and made it impossible to have dinner conversation. On request we were quickly moved to Pizzeria area (thankfully not too busy during our visit) which was slightly quieter but music still intrusive.

Amazing staff who go above and beyond to make you welcome and feeling like VIP! Well appointed and comfortable rooms. Ultra clean and welcoming. Fitness facilities are great. Great café and bar. Note: I am in Rome often for work and leisure - This is my new go-to for each visit. Home away from home :)

The hotel was excellent, clean and quiet. The staff was very helpful, and the restaurant had excellent food and coffee. It was just a minute walk from the metro station and bus stop, so very easy to get around to everything within 10-20 minutes at most. It’s a nice quiet neighborhood away from all the tourists.

Cannot say enough nice things about this stay. I don't travel much, they made everything SO EASY and SO NICE. The restaurant in the hotel is PHENOMENAL. The staff were KIND and HELPFUL. The room and furniture and common spaces and finishes are VERY high end. Will recommend to every person going to Rome. Oh and the LOCATION is 10 minutes from the Spanish Steps via metro. And it's right next to Bonci? Amazing.

Excellent customer service. They took their time to give instructions. Always ready to help. The only downside is the lack os space in the room because the bed is at the centre of the room. Other than that, it’s all great!

We arrived with high expections, but this hotel just not as good as it looks like. We receiced mail about their bed and mattrass options and we choosed the hotel just because of the pool that we wanted to enjoy after long walks in the city. Instead of that there were no pool (under construction but when i checked the official site it was till the end of March Only) and they offered us welcome drink to make us feel better. Yes welcome drink instead of spa and pool in a 4star hotel, when you pay such a lot. We complained after the second night about the mattrass which is soft and our back hurts, they said they will change the mattrass... but nithing changed and we spent 7 nights with back pain. After booking and also before the arrival I sent an email to ask for a silent room, and surprisly we've got the one which facing the street with dog barks, car beeping etc.... the roof was closed so no options to be there and get a drink ( they said its the season, but its april and there is 24 °c and sun). In general the hotel doesnt give anything under the name of constraction or season that makes this place different from other cheaper hotels. The staff was super nice and Rome is beautiful,but its not what you are paying for.

The staff was very professional. They helped us with whatever we needed. We were able to eat in the restaurant. They gave us ideas. As for things to do, they always greeted us and anything we needed extra like pillows and towels. They always saw that we had it. I was very well pleased with my stay

The property is quite of bit of walk from Vatican. Map looks deceiving so you would need a cab that costs about $17 to ride it to Vatican. Property did not have any coffee in the rooms. Rooms were not properly wacumed found broken nails on the floor. Unfortunately we noticed this when we were leaving so that was not addressed. Spa and pool were under construction and the restaurant on the roof is closed even though it let you book a table online so check before you assume you having lunch planned. Staff was wonderful And very friendly. Overall average hotel with very unique room setup and interesting decor.

This place was extraordinary! The reception was wonderful, and we had really great pizza from their restaurant. The room was big, restroom was clean and modern, bed was comfortable, and overall a great stay! The street was loud, and we wanted the windows open for the air, so we got used to it.

Coming from California and this hotel was so beautiful, warm, and accommodating. Vibrant colors, funky music, and friendly hospital staff. I will highly recommend this to friends and plan on staying again on my next visit. Plus the brunch was stunning and delicious. 10/10

This hotel was especially clean and the staff were so friendly and helpfull. The only thing I would improve is Expedia's marketing of this property. They fail to alert you to the fact that the pool is not available in the winter. I would stay here agin though. My son and I enjoyed ourselves very much.

I liked everything about the property, it was absolutely amazing , staff was professional and kind, the room was great. It was my daughter's birthday and staff prepared a little surprise with a small cake for her and this was super sweet!

Very friendly staff and welcoming. Beautifully decorated. Simple and comfortable room. Spacious bathroom. Local metro is Cipro so its easy to get transport. Offered transport back to the airport. It was perfect for us, cleen and efficient. The breakfast buffet had lots of options and was perfect. If we ever go to Rome agin im sure well be back. Its given a very good impression. Also had a very close 24h convenient store close by. Highly recommend!

Mama Shelter Roma was a great place to stay - right next to Cipro Metro which is easy to access the rest of the city and only a 10 minute walk from the Vatican Museum. The Hotel was clean and friendly. Pizza was fab, the menu of the Garden restaurant was a little lacking and a little disappointing. A little frustrated to find out you had to book a timing for the swimming pool and that all of the top deck was locked up for winter. Otherwise a great stay in a very affordable set up

This hotel is incredible. The location is great, right off the metro line, and so close to the Vatican. The decor is beautiful, the staff is lovely, everything was clean and well kept. The restaurant downstairs is great and have live music regularly. Cannot recommend it enough

The staff was very friendly, all fluent in English. The facilities were very clean, and the location is relatively close to important locations. The Metro is less than a 5 minute walk, with many small shops on the way. Fine dining at the hotel if you don't want to go out.

Loved this, amazing price for a beautiful hotel with great amenities & a lot of charm!!! Very clean. The area surrounding is a bit seedy but I still felt safe. Walkable. Close to the Vatican.
