Great B&B
Very nice place, very close the bus and metro and the vatican. Supermarket near buy also. Elena the owner is very helpful and kind.

Wonderful Stay by the Vatican
The room was very clean and beautifully decorated. You have an individual control for the air conditioner so it was very comfortable. The breakfast had a lot of delicious food to choose from and the hostess heated milk for us to make hot chocolate since we don't drink coffee. The hostess was very friendly and considerate and let us leave our luggage after we checked out. She gave us many directions for restaurants. We were able to walk to the Vatican entrance in about 10 minutes. The area was really quiet and very secure.

Could Have Been Better
This is my second attempt to submit a review, not sure the first one went thru. Very unhappy with the check-in procedure as the facility did not comply with the instructions they gave us which resulted in a one hour wait in front of the locked building. Warm showers, O K breakfast, smoking on adjacent balcony, poor cleaning and no towel change for our four day stay. Great area near restaurants, metro and the Vatican a comfortable walk with lots of wine and food stops along the way.

Close to metro.
Great host! Nice breakfast. Clean room and very nice. Good bed. We love our location. Very close to the Metro ( subway) it was pretty easy to get around. I would recommend this place. We toured around all day. It was nice to have a room to have close to get some rest.

I had a lovely stay at Le Scalette al Vaticano. The hostess, Elena, arranged for a car to meet me at the airport, and to take me to the airport at the end of my visit. The breakfast was simple - fruit, cereal, yogurt, bread or pastry. Nothing special. The coffee machine was great, hot chocolate every night! The area isn't bad. There's a good pizza place just up the street. I was in the city to visit the Vatican - the Vatican Museum is very close, maybe a 10 minute walk, St. Peter's Square is more like 20 minutes. Metro is around the corner if you want to visit other parts of the city, and the train station is close too. Room was very comfortable - including air conditioning! Bathroom newly renovated - shower only, no tub. Free wifi. I do wish there were light-blocking curtains, and it was a bit loud on the street late at night, but those were my only complaints.

Elena was helpful with any and all questions. Room was lovely, clean, decent size. Attention to detail was seen throughout the place. Breakfast was good, and I was able to use the cappuccino machine later in the day as well. Close to the Vatican and the metro. Highly recommend and would stay again.

Great Place for Rome visit
Would recommend to all. Elena could not do enough for us. Advice given freely and wisely. Room and facilities spotless. Ample breakfast and nicely placed for visits to the Vatican area and also close to Metro station so all of Rome is easily achieved.

comfortable and extremely clean B&B
I was very happy to have found this B&B. I felt like being at home in Rome. Elena gave me a lot of recommendations about good places to eat with affordable prices as well as information about tours, mean of transportation etc. She is a very kind lady who tries to give the best to her guests. She offers a very good continental breakfast. The place is so lovely and clean! and the bedroom was extremely clean as well and with all what you need. All is exactly as you see in the pictures. I really felt very comfortable! Thank you so much Elena! I totally recommend this place with an affordable price to stay in Rome. I would love to go again!

A lovely b&b very close to the Vatican and the metro Station , so it was very easy to navigate around Rome. Comfortable room but as it was my first time in a b&b I wasn't sure what to expect. Breakfast was nice but definitely expected a bit mor savoury staff as eating croasaints and cakes is not my idea of a good breakfast but nevertheless it was nice. The place is in a very quiet area and it is very easy to find your way around. I would definitely come back

Elena provided a lot a helpful information about the local area when I arrived. Her home-baked cakes at breakfast were much appreciated. As the crow flies, the location is quite near to the centre of Rome. But it is the other side of the Vatican, so walking to the centre of town entails a considerable detour! So it is best to use the Metro, which is very nearby.

Amazing, lovely, & comfort hotel.
If you are looking for a great experience in Rome please book your room with Le Scalette al Vaticano. The room is amazing, romantic, quiet, and very comforting. Breakfast is provided; FYI cappuccino is amazing. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is nice and clean
The hotel owner is very nice and helpful. The room is comfortable and clean. The hotel is only a few minutes walking distance from the metro station.

Quaint B&B
Great Stay! This B&B is convenient to the train and within walking distance to the Vatican and surrounding area. Plenty of eateries and shopping within walking distance. Clean room and kitchenette area. Not a large space, but plenty of room for a stay. Private bath and A/C was a must -- both were great. The owner is VERY accommodating and provided excellent service. HIGHLY recommend and would definitely stay again.

Location and price
The location is pretty convenient, just two blocks from the metro station and near the vatican. The location does not appear to be good and perhaps a bit dirty, BUT it is actually very safe. I think this was EXCELLENT value for the money you pay; it included fast internet, rooms were a bit small but really clean and they provided you with a quick breakfast, enough if you are saving some money. The person in charge of the b&b was always helpful when we needed something. There is a parking garage in front of the hotel if you rented a car.

Friendly B & B close to the Vatican
This B & B is great and in a perfect location. The metro subway is around the corner and the Vatican only a few blocks away. The room was beautiful with an updated bathroom. Elena, the owner, is super helpful and answered all questions we had about how to get around Rome.

Great B&B close to the Vatican
I had a very nice several days at Le Scalette, it had everything I needed (breakfast, wifi, very clean room). It was conveniently close to a metro station (Cipro), with cafes and restaurants nearby. I did a Vatican guided tour and saw some other parts of the city recommended by the manager.

great bang for the buck!
so close to the metro, taxi, Vatican, and local restaurants. further away from the big sights, but it's nice to get away from the crowds. the host offers wonderful eating recs, and our best dinner in Rome was a traditional trattoria with a super kind grandpa chef/host. the rooms are new, the wifi is strong, and communication with the host was smooth. a great deal!

Elena is a wonderful hostess! She even accommodated a different breakfast upon request. The bed and breakfast is clean and comfortable and a very pleasant place to stay, only one block from the metro and walking distance to St Peter's and the Vatican Museum. She was able to give recommendations for restaurants in the neighborhood as well as sightseeing trips.

I was travelling in Rome by myself, and I stumbled upon this hotel by pure chance. It was just great. I enjoyed my stay immensely. Room was clean, nicely decorated with a lot of care. Very nice breakfast in the morning. The owner, Elena was very kind and helpful. I would definitely visit this hotel again.

Grata surpresa!!!! A melhor estadia da viagem.
Da nossa viagem entre a França e a Itália, sem duvida o BB da Helena foi uma grata surpresa. Limpo, aconchegante, ao lado do metro e do Vaticano e o principal muito silencioso. Helena sempre esteve em contato conosco e nos ajudou com o transfer do aeroporto. Café da manhã simples mas muito bem servido, e fácil acesso aos pontos turísticos do Vaticano e de Roma. Obrigado por tudo Helena e esperamos voltar em breve, pois a sensação foi a de que poderíamos ter passado mais tempo nessa cidade maravilhosa e de culinária impressionante. Abraço!!!

Très bon séjour à cet établissement. Endroit propre, tranquille, très pratique pour visiter Rome (à 2 min. à pied d'une station de métro), déjeuner correct (cependant, pas trop de variété). Sur demande, la propriétaire nous conseille sur les activités à faire à Rome.

B&b muy comodo, en buena zona para visitar roma, muy verca de museos del vaticano y a 50 metros de parada de metro, justo al lado hay una de las mejores pizzerias de pizza al taglio de roma, bonzi, increibles, b&b tranquilo y limpio, muy recomendable.

Localización perfecta para el Vaticano
Hemos disfrutado de nuestra estancia en Le Scalette. Está muy cerca del Vaticano, pudiendo ir a pie (unos 10 minutos andando a ritmo de paseo). También está a dos minutos de la estación de metro Cipro, que permite ir directamente a Termini, Piazza di Spagna, Fontana di Trevi, etc. La habitación era amplia, luminosa y limpia. Las camas muy cómodas y el baño tenía todo lo necesario. El desayuno era bastante completo y la dueña, Elena, fue muy amable. Nos dio varias indicaciones sobre sitios donde comer y cenar cerca del B&B. Es una buena opción, sobre todo si se quiere estar alrededor de la zona Vaticano/San Pedro.

it's a lovely place to stay near the Cipro metro station! Elena is a great hostess and makes you feel comfortable! room is a little bit small though, but it's clean and modern. to sum up we had a pleasant stay

B&B curato nei minimi particolari e gestito al Top da una numero 1 la Sig. Elena, posizione strategica per raggiungere qualsiasi parte di Roma, si trova a 2 minuti a piedi dalla metro Cipro,location nuova,ristrutturata da poco, e arredata con gusto,quattro camere confortevoli e dotate di tutto. Riassumendo, Le Scalette al Vaticano ,e la Sig Elena vi ospiteranno facendovi sentire a casa. Filippo Morabito.
