This hotel is in a quiet area a short distance from the vatican. The hotel is very clean and modern inside and has gardens and seating areas outside including a roof terrace.It has a restaurant that is very nice which is ideal because the nearest restaurants are not close to the hotel this resturant is separate from the breakfast room which is much larger. The continental breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice.The nearest metro station is quite a distance from the hotel and the walk took us about 45 minutes. I would definitely stay here again because the hotel had everything we were looking for.

Room was very nice balcony was a great plus, breakfast was good but the best thing was the staff. They were helpful and friendly- gave us directions and called a taxi for us. Only one minor issue- Ants appeared out of nowhere-they were after something on bottom of shoe- I put shoe outside and killed the ants on the floor-that took care of at the problem

Good place
Great hotel, that’s off the beaten path from the tourist part of town. It’s actually the other direction which was really nice for us. And it was only a 10 minute walk to St. Peter’s Square. Three adults in this room fit comfortably. However, the bathroom was a little bit small. The shower door would not close properly and let lots of water onto the floor. Our room had a really nice patio on it as well. You could see Saint Peter’s dome from where we are. The hotel also sits off the busy road in a neighborhood so you don’t hear the buzz of traffic all night long either. Would easily stay here again.

The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The people who worked at the front desk and the bartenders were wonderful. This location was convenient to certain sites in Rome, easy access to the bus, and the restaurants and amenities in the area were good. The people make the difference - thank you!

Locted a short 15 minute walk to Vatican. The on site restaurant is great. The food was so delish. Ny room was very quiet abd the staff us very accomodating. Its located just 30 minutes from Fumicino Airport.

Decent hotel with shuttle service is a plus
The room was clean and comfortable. It is near Vatican so can't go wrong. On Sundays don't expect uber or taxi service to be available on demand. They were quick in providing shuttle service to the airport. So that was a plus. The restaurant offers decent meals and prices are reasonable. Breakfast was good.

a great base in a calmer part of Rome
The location is really fantastic, a few minutes from train station and easy walking distance to St Peter, and from then to the centre. Rooms are clean and more modern than expected in Rome. Bathroom was small but functional, could do with a little maintenance. The in-house dining options are a bit disappointing, very limited choice, particularly for vegetarians; breakfast is good. Overall though a very pleasant hotel, would definitely consider another stay. Particularly appreciated the water fountains with a choice of sparkling or natural water!

Wonderful Stay by the Vatican
My partner and I had a wonderful stay at Il Cantico. The hotel is lovely. We enjoyed their great breakfast at a low cost, the staff was accomodating, the location was a short walk to the Vatican, we learned how monumentally improved vacations are when hotels have water stations and the rooftop view is unparalleled. My wife and I recently stayed at the Hotel Il Cantico St. Peter. It is a modern hotel with great amenities, including great parking. If you are driving to Rome and need a place where to stay with large and safe parking, this is the location for you. The room we were assigned was modern, clean and had a nice balcony. However, it was small and a big uncomfortable to walk around even for two people. The room would seem more appropriate for one person. Perhaps there are other rooms that are larger, but this one was tiny. But we were in Rome for one night, as we were on our way back to the US, so the size didn't bother us a lot. In terms of location, it is within walking distance to Vatican City - very accessible to main area attractions. I would highly recommend it. If I were to return to Rome, I would stay there again. If I stayed for more than one night, I would request a larger room.
