Although the rooms are very basic they look old and in need of some decoration but they provided us a good base near the main transport hub for the city and close to very good local restaurants. Staff were helpful and always on hand.

desk attendants were very nice and helpful. hallways smelled like cigarette smoke which was not appreciated. very close to roma termini which was nice and within walking distance to all the things we wanted to do.

The staff was kind and welcoming however the room was the weirdest i’ve ever been in. Toilet seat was broken resulting in us falling on the bathroom floor when trying to use it when we first arrived. We alerted the staff of this asap and nothing was done about it the entire stay. The room had three beds stacked beside eachother with no side tables. The so called shower aka foot tub had no curtain so water went everywhere. plug ins were ran through and did not hold any charger and our friend was charged €25 to come up to our room.

**Horrible Experience – Do Not Stay Here!** I stayed at Alta Villa in the middle of summer with my two kids and my mother, and it was hands down the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. The room was absolutely filthy, the AC wasn’t working in the sweltering heat, and there was no Wi-Fi at all. When I brought this to the attention of the staff, they were completely unhelpful and said there was nothing they could do about either issue. The bathroom was disgusting—dirty and clearly neglected—with rusted pipes and a terrible odor. I was so appalled by the conditions that I left after just seven hours. I immediately contacted Expedia to request a refund, but they’ve been unable to get in touch with the hotel, and I’m still fighting to get my money back. Avoid this place at all costs. It’s not worth the stress, especially if you're traveling with family.

The city tax was 5 euro not 3 per person per day , the place is so old and run down, not nice even close to what the pictures look like. Shower was horrible, either too much water pressure or hot water changed to cold so quickly. The bathroom was not nice to shower in . Shower curtain was gross to touch. Beds were comfortable, but over all the inside of the hotel was not appealing at all. Great location to everything.

The hotel is old, not clean and there was an air con. We had to beg to get it and that even after a day of heat, no fan and no AC with kids. The cleanliness was not up to the mark. It looked like a shabby run down hotel

Both the maintenance and cleanliness of the rooms could be improved. We stayed for 1 week and only from the 3rd day the room was cleaned and towels/bedding changed. The furniture was very dusty and so was the floor. The bed lights didn't work and the flush pressure was very bad, as was the water in the shower. Breakfast had no option of fruits or any protein, just processed cheese, toast, white bread, croissant and cornflakes. Too bad! Positive points: excellent location with several restaurant options, market and pharmacy; close to the public transport and bus terminal. We were treated very well by the hotel staff; they were always friendly and cordial.

First night was a nightmare, the staff was unresponsive, my senior father and my family were suffocated with no AC or Celine fan available. The TV was not working, I have been saving time and money to enjoy my vacation time this time of the year and the manager of the hotel was so rude. I feel sad for expending my money and points and I hope to receive them back. The features posted and promises were not accurate. When I tried to find a solution for multiple issues with the staff, the manager told me multiple times to contact Expedia and just 2 people were kind and professional Dupa and Francesco.

Never ever again - avoid!!!

scammers!!! the first thing that happens at check-in is that the staff trick us into paying 60 euros in city tax, even though 30 euros is the real amount (5 euro per person and three nights). We realize it soon after we get to the room and then go down to the reception again and want to sort out the error. They then make it clear that they cheated us and don't intend to pay anything back. Otherwise, the pictures on their website are pure scams. Never staying here again, broken fridge, broken safe, broken electrical sockets, difficult to flush the toilet, poor water pressure. We got mysterious bites at night all over the body, extremely sensitive, unsafe and uncool is the opinion. Never ever go here with children, read the reviews - I wish we had done that. We have travelled round the world and stayed at many differet hotels over the years, this is the worst. Location good obviously, there is lots and lots of hotels in Rom with great location, without scam.

As for me and our Family, We only need it a place for one night, while waiting for flight to come back home. We got there around 4:30pm- and left 6:00am. We just wanted to drop off our bags and go out to eat dinner and enjoy Roma for our last night. Positive: a place to sleep. Great Dinning place around the corner. Opera house. Great location. Negative: Through Expedia, we receive a message that we were supposed to be charge 4 Euros by person for city taxes- we were only 2 Adults and two young children. They charged us 20 Euros. They only wanted cash, no card and they seem to be so hungry for the payment. The Shampoo- we only got three small envelopes with the cheapest hotel shampoo that probably exist. The Bathroom is so small that it was hard for me to even to move around ( I am a small person) A very cheap place for what they charge. In our situation for only one night - works but if I need it to stay for more time, I think that is not a good fit. Overprice for a very cheap place. I would not be back, and I would definitely not recommend to Families. The place should lower the price - Expensive for what they offer.
