Iberostar in Residencial Bavaro Punta Cana

"Overall, my girlfriend & i had a really good experience at the Riu Republica. Food was pretty good from breakfast to dinner. Our drink of choice at the swim up was a caipirinha (rum,lime,mint, & sugar cane over ice). The resort is known for its party & live entertainment personality, which they owe us nothing for, BUT keep this in mind when choosing your room. While the party scene is smack in the middle of the resort where everything is located & very close to the beach, if you're looking for some sense of tranquility, you might want a room at the other end of the resort, away from everything pretty much. The jerk chicken station lived up to the hype in all of the reviews we read & the buffet staff were very friendly & helpful throughout our stay. The main swim up bar pool (closest to the buffet) is where the action is. Great music, good vibes & waiters continuously at your service while the staff interaction will keep you very entertained as well. I would certainly recommend this resort to anyone who is looking for a good, inexpensive, party themed introduction to the Dominican Republic like ourselves! Cheers!"

"Terrible, lots of noise, nobody, nobody saids good morning, the buffet is the worst service of all punta cana resorts. The employees are the worst. Low life employees. You order drinks yhey come 40 minutes later. Not a napkin on the table... And the host at the door, no smile, the recieving was unreal.. Bad training, no discipline. Very disorganized and almost all employees ignores you like you weren't there. A disaster."
