The best area to stay in Rempstone is the village centre, particularly around Main Street, for those seeking convenience and a traditional English village experience.

This central area offers easy access to Rempstone's main amenities. Main Street is where you'll find the local pub, The Plough Inn, known for its good food and local ales, and the village shop for essentials. The layout is quite compact, making it pleasant to walk around and explore the local lanes and historic church.

For couples looking for a relaxed and traditional break, the village centre is ideal. You'll be able to enjoy quiet walks through the countryside lanes directly from your accommodation, and evenings can be spent at the local pub, experiencing true village life without needing to drive.

Families with older children might also appreciate staying in the village centre due to the easy access to local walks and the community feel. There are often local events or village fetes that provide a good opportunity to experience local culture.

The best time to visit Rempstone is during the late spring and summer months, from May to September, when the weather is generally mild and pleasant.

During these months, you'll find the most sunshine and comfortable temperatures, ideal for exploring the local countryside and enjoying outdoor activities. The village and surrounding areas are particularly picturesque in full bloom, offering lovely scenery for walks and photography. Many local events and country fairs, for which the region is known, also take place during this period, providing a fuller experience of local life.

For those planning an active holiday, such as hiking or cycling through the Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire Wolds, these months offer the best conditions. The longer daylight hours mean more time to explore, and the drier trails are much easier to navigate.
