"Staying at Volcano Acres was truly one of the most special parts of my Big Island trip. The peaceful pond, adorable animals, and beautiful surroundings made it feel like a little sanctuary. Inside, every detail showed so much thought and care: the comfortable cotton sheets, cozy robe, delicious coffee, helpful notebook, and all the little touches that made the room feel warm and welcoming. The breakfast was exceptional: fresh, high-quality, and beautifully prepared. I especially loved the wonderful fresh papaya Evie prepared. You could feel the care that went into everything. But what made this stay unforgettable was Theresa. She is the kind of person who puts her whole heart into what she does, and I could genuinely feel her kindness and caring throughout my stay. I feel lucky not only to have stayed here, but to have met her and had the chance to have a meaningful conversation with her. This is much more than a beautiful place to stay. It has heart, and that is something you don’t find everywhere. I left feeling genuinely grateful that I chose this place. ❤️🌿"

"Nice old plantation style house with a beautiful yard and view of Hilo. Staff was nice and helpful, even tho I arrived a day and a half late. Very peaceful place to stay, with birds chirping in the morning and coqui frogs croaking at night."

"This was by far the best stay I had on my entire trip! Tucked away in the cutest little village, this perfect gem has all the charm and feel of the island. You can truly see the care put into every detail of the interior, making the entire stay feel warm, authentic, and inviting. My favorite part was hearing the frogs at night. I opened the windows, listened to the sounds of the island, and had one of the most peaceful nights of sleep on the entire trip. I will definitely be back! If you’re visiting Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park, I highly recommend staying at this charming little Chalet Kilauea. You won’t be disappointed!"
Gorgeous! The Waterfall Retreat At Reed's Island

"This property is OUTSTANDING! The view of the river and waterfall from the wrap around lanai is BREATHTAKING. The pictures do NOT do it justice! It is no quiet little stream--it is a magnificent, roaring river and waterfall, with nothing but rainforest type jungle beyond it. The house was immaculate and so spacious and comfortable for our blended family group. If you require super cold temps with closed windows and AC, this might not be your jam. But we LOVED it--windows open to the soft floral air, plenty of fans to keep things circulating, and the sound of water everywhere. The little neighborhood it is in is super pretty too with a number of lovely historical homes. I would recommend this place not only for nature lovers but also for spiritual retreats. :)"

"This was a great house for our family vacation. The house is beautiful, spacious kitchen where we cooked meals together. The kitchen had nearly everything needed. We enjoyed the pool so much. The location was close to downtown Hilo making it very convenient. June was a pleasure to work with."
