"First of all, this property is gorgeous and set up perfectly, not to mention the private hot tub! My husband and I booked Rivendell Oasis while in Hawaii for the Merrie Monarch Festival and it was nice to have a quiet place to go back to each day after being around a lot of people. It wasn’t so far from downtown to not be able to enjoy a quick meal when we wanted but we also got to enjoy the natural nighttime sounds instead of cars driving by. I loved to just sit outside and listen to the pond (and rain) while reading a book or just watching the lizards and birds.The lovely hosts have the property well stocked with kitchen gadgets for what we needed and more. Lastly, Simon was the sweetest kitty and I melted when he jumped up on my lap and took a nap!"

"We stayed here with our family for an Easter weekend. It was the perfect place to stay for a weekend on Hilo! It's in a safe, quiet neighborhood that's centrally located if you're looking to enjoy any of the sites local to the east side of the island.We particularly enjoyed the gourmet kitchen, where we were able to grab fresh produce from the Hilo Farmers Market and whip up some great food with the kitchen supplies they had in the house. Felt like we were in our own kitchen.The hosts were very communicative and you could see the attention to detail they spent making their house the perfect place for families looking for a Hawaii retreat. I'm counting the days until I can book another stay!"

"The start of the stay started off well with Sarge, the property manager, and all, with him cooking for us and welcoming us in. The rules were very strict in having no outter footwear inside the house. The property was nice with a stray cat, named White Knight, being around the property to be there during your stay. However, things went downhill when we found out that one of our friends was hit on by Sarge, which made her feel uncomfortable. We were caught off guard by this action and let the other guests who went there with us, to be cautious and watch over her. "
