"fantastic place - maybe nicest in Keys!!!"

Coconut Cay Resort & Marina

10/10 Excellent

"We stayed here for one night during our visit to Marathon in the Florida Keys. The location was nice enough and convenient for exploring the area. Our room was situated at the front of the property, so there was quite a lot of road and car park noise, although this was somewhat expected given the location. It did feel as though the front window was open, despite being closed, as it did very little to block out the outside noise. On the positive side, the room was incredibly spacious, with a lovely large TV and a super comfortable bed. The shower was great, and the amenities provided were good. Ice and drinks were also available from reception, which was handy. The reception staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The air conditioning worked overtime but didn’t seem to cool the room particularly well and was rather noisy itself. However, this was more of a minor observation than a complaint. The only real disappointment was the cleanliness of the floor. After showering, the floor became slightly wet, and walking around barefoot left the bottoms of my feet noticeably dirty, which was a shame. Overall, a perfectly reasonable place to stay for a night in Marathon. A few minor improvements would make a difference, but we had a comfortable stay, and the friendly staff were certainly a highlight."

Frequently asked questions

When is the best time to go to Punta Brisa?

The best time to go to Punta Brisa is during the dry season, from November to April, when the weather is consistently sunny and pleasant.

This period avoids the summer humidity and the higher chance of rain and tropical storms that can occur between June and October. The temperatures during the dry season are typically warm but not excessively hot, often ranging from the low 20s to high 20s Celsius. This makes it ideal for enjoying the beaches and outdoor activities without discomfort.

For those who enjoy water sports and spending time on the beach, the dry season offers calm seas and clear skies. You'll find it great for swimming, paddleboarding, or simply relaxing on the sand. The cooler evenings are also lovely for outdoor dining or strolls along the waterfront.

If you're planning a trip around major holidays like Christmas or Easter, be aware that these times are very popular, and you'll want to book your accommodation and activities well in advance to secure the best options.

Can I cancel my hotel reservation on Expedia?

Many Expedia hotel reservations are refundable, provided that you cancel before the hotel's cancellation deadline − this is often within 24 to 48 hours of your scheduled arrival. If you have a non-refundable booking, it might still be possible to receive a refund if you cancel it within 24 hours of booking. Be sure to check your booking confirmation for the exact cancellation policy. For maximum flexibility, use our 'Fully refundable property' filter during your search to find the right Punta Brisa hotel for you.
