This hidden gem sits on the ridge above the Hanalei Valley on Kauai's tropical North Shore. Enjoy amazing mountain, waterfall, rainbow and valley views from every window. Situated to take advantage of the island's trade winds this beautifully furnished classic Hawaiian home has 2 bedrooms (king/queen beds); 2 full baths; quality linens; hardwood bamboo flooring; no air conditioning but ceiling fans in every room; full size washer/dryer; large well-equipped kitchen; beach towels and more.... A perfect vacation retreat & ideal base for exploring, surfing, swimming and hiking!

A 5 minute drive to beautiful Hanalei Bay with it's world-renowned stretch of golden sand beach. For surfers & the adventurous, the beach is a one mile walk away along a well-maintained path through a park-like setting with unsurpassed views of the Bay. Enjoy big wave surfing in winter, and small, rolling waves in summer. The historic town of Hanalei is a perfect place for strolling, dining and browsing through shops. There is also a fish market, shave ice, smoothie and juice bars.

This Hanalei Hideaway is in a small complex of 20 townhouses surrounded by tropical foliage and estate homes on large properties. Only one wall adjoins the neighboring unit so you are steps away from tropical gardens on 3 sides. It is nestled away from the main highway but close to shopping, restaurants, and the beach. The neighborhood is exceptionally clean, safe and quiet and on the edge of Princeville Resort that sits atop the bluffs overlooking the ocean and Hanalei Valley.

On the ground floor is a kitchen, dining area, living room, lanai, bathroom and washer/dryer. Upstairs are two bedrooms and a bathroom. Small private yards in front and back of the home are part of the well manicured landscape. Lush tropical foliage can be viewed from every window. The newly renovated 27-hole Makai´ Golf Course, tennis courts and Princeville Shopping Center, with the only major grocery store on the North Shore, are close by.

Perfect Princeville location

This was perfect for our family. Near the main highway and only a few minutes from Hanalei. The beds were comfortable and the all the items that we could possibly have needed were included in the home. We would definitely stay here again

Loved staying in this comfortable 2 bed 2 bath home. Great accommodations in beach and snorkel gear! The road closure was not too disruptive for us during our stay in June 2021

Lovely, clean and comfortable

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely townhouse. It was very clean and comfortable. It has Mt. views from lanai and bedroom, and beautiful wood floors throughout. We felt right at home with all the amenities provided, thanks to our great host Mandy and Jim who kept in contact with us before and during our stay.

Great place to start exploring the north shore from. Close to hanalei and kileau. The windows are great for cooling off in the evening since there is no ac, but keep an eye out for rain and a little road noise.

Perfect place to stay!

Jim and Mandy truly thought of everything! We so enjoyed staying in their home, it had everything we needed (from shampoo to beach towels) and it was close to all of the attractions of the north shore. The large kitchen with the pantry items made it easy to cook, which we really enjoyed. They also had all the beach supplies we needed which saved us from having to rent. Clean, tidy, well presented, easy access and great communication from the owners. Close enough to shops that you could easily walk and Hanalei is just a short 10 minute drive down the road. Exceptional and very very happy. Thank you so much for letting us stay. Thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend. :)

Perfect place to relax and recharge!

What an amazing time! The house was perfect for our stay. Our welcome email included suggestions of places to go along with directions on how to get there. We went to at least half of the suggested places and we’re so happy we did! Thank goodness for all the beach items in storage, chairs, coolers, body board! Owners are very welcoming and accessible via text or email! We will stay here again!!!

Stay here if the following appeal to you- - Gaze at mountains and waterfalls from the patio or breakfast table - Full kitchen to cook your meals, a boon if you have hungry kids - Cozy living room with more wonderful views - Two cozy bedrooms overlooking mountains and massive trees with wonderful breeze - Large, clean bathrooms - All in the midst of lush, verdant Hanalei and short drives from lovely beaches - Safe, clean neighborhood - our kids played outside most evenings Thanks Jim and Mandy. Perfect!

I wanted to thank Jim and Mandy for a wonderful stay! The Hideaway was perfect for our family (husband, wife and 2 year old daughter). We loved how clean and neat the house was and having a washer and dryer in the unit was so helpful for us. Also, the house was full of those little things you might need as you settle in, including a well stocked kitchen, beach chairs/towels, and sand toys! If we make it back to Kauai we will be sure to stay again! We personally loved Bubba's and the Dolphin for sushi! Just 5 minutes away in Hanalei!

Wonderful Princeville Townhouse

The first thing I noticed when we arrived after a very long flight from NJ was that this townhouse looked exactly like the pictures we saw on the VRBO website! It was just as clean and just as beautiful as we hoped it to be! The owners were great at communicating with us. Even though we didn't have any need to reach out to them during our stay, we know we could if necessary. We also loved the location because it was close to everything we wanted to see while in Kauai! It is the prettier side of the island in our opinion. If you are trying to decide where to stay, look no further! Would definitely stay again and highly recommend Thank you Jim and Mandy!

Perfect vacation home

A very nice place to stay for vacation with all necessary amenities. We were impressed by the thoughtfulness of the host in every detail: More comprehensive Kitchen tools than we have ever encountered in a vacation home incl such things as cling wrap and a bottle of olive oil. Beach towels, beach chairs (2), super modern washing machine and dryer, and even a dish washer. The house was clean and modernized, with enough space for the three of us. Just be aware there is no AC, only fans. The upstairs bedrooms could get quite warm in the afternoon and early evening but not so bad as to prevent us from sleeping at night as it has been in other places on Hawaii.

Magical stay in Kauai

Our stay in Kauai could not have been more amazing. The property was exactly as detailed in the listing, plus more. They had beach chairs, boogie boards, extra coolers. The house was so well stocked. We prefer to cook at home versus eating out 3 meals a day for our vacations, this can be hit or miss when renting a property. This home had everything we needed. Including a blender for our morning protein drinks. Our trip was myself, my husband and our 22 year old daughter. The home was perfect for us!! The hosts checked in with us several times and gave us suggestions on places to go and eat. We took their hike they suggested that leads down to a very secluded beach. It was perfect. We would definitely stay at this location again!!

Great spot near everything!

This property was perfectly located if you have a rental car and enjoy walking/hiking. The hosts were so friendly and easy to communicate with! It was immaculate and well looked after, and nice and clean. The bed was comfy and the towels were so soft! There is definitely a lot of rooster activity, so if that's not your thing, this may not be the place for you as it's key to have the windows open to keep the place cool! We enjoyed staying here as our base for the first half of our trip. It was a great value. We hiked to both beaches that are nearby - Hideaway and Puu Poa. They're a decent walk! We enjoyed some of the other beaches we drove to more, though (Tunnels, Hanalei, Anini, Kauapea). Would love to stay here again with friends or family!

Ditto to all the great things others have said. Our review is a list of what to expect. Condo: Quiet/feels secluded/tropical garden. Back deck w two chairs Front porch: 4 folding beach chairs and small boogie board Living room: Comfy. User-friendly TV (lots of options) Games/toys/puzzles/Kauai info/coasters. FANS and tasteful, intriguing artwork throughout Downstairs closet: 3 sizes of ice chests, beach towels, nice snorkle set, sun screen, bug repellent, aloe vera, even Nyquil, limited first aid, nail clippers, cleaning supplies (including a scrub brush). Detergent, SprayNWash and dryer sheets for the beautiful stackable washer/dryer. Bathrooms: shower gel/shampoo/conditioner. Lots of nice towels/wash cloths Great shelf treatments. 2 plungers. Ample nice toilet tissue Kitchen: All appliances work! Pantry items (flour,sugar, oils, vinegar, ample salt and pepper, lots of usable spices) Foil/plastic wrap/etc., lots of dishes/glasses (standard plus colorful/fun), plenty of silverware/knives/4 ice cube trays/pots w lids that fit, skillets, splatter guards, oodles of utensils, wine opener, can opener, toaster, hot pot, crock pot, coffee makers & grinder, blender, measuring cup/ bowls/baking dishes, potholders/lots of dishtowels. Scissors. Open space for your items. MORE!!! Upstairs closet (hall): hats/iron & board/extra blanket Bedrooms: Great beds! Lovely linens/side chairs/drawer space/Kleenex/lots of hangers/Amazing closet in master. Full-length mirror. It's ALL CLEAN!!

Nice location and beautiful beaches nearby. I was just concerned that the listing was advertised as a two-bedroom unit, which was accurate in terms of sleeping space, but one of the bedrooms was locked and this made us uncomfortable, as we didn’t know what was behind the locked door. While the rest of the stay was generally fine, not disclosing this in advance felt misleading and affected our sense of safety and trust. Transparency is important, and I hope the host updates the listing to clarify this detail for future guests.
