Welcome to East Kaua'i!

Located within Pono Kai Resort in Kapa'a on the Coconut Coast and 20 mins. from Lihu'e Airport.

This beautiful OCEANFRONT (Newly refurbished in 2019), 1-Bedroom Condo (Queen Bed) with sleeper sofa at east Kaua'i's Pono Kai Resort. Includes a fully-equipped Kitchen, Dining & Living Area with Ground-floor Beachfront Patio complete with new furniture. Enjoy air-conditioning in the Living Room.

The unit is beachfront with a beautiful lawn area, the Coastal bike path and sandy beach, all just steps from the Lanai (patio). You can hear the waves lapping up on the white sand beach from the living room and the sea breeze is just amazing!

On-site activities & amenities at Pono Kai Resort include Coin-Operated Laundry Facilities, Tennis Court, Sauna, Fitness Center, Golf Course (within 2 miles), BBQ area w/ table, Putting Green, Shuffleboard and Croquet, an outdoor Pool and Jacuzzi.

Amenities include a CD Player/Radio with Library, Wi-Fi, Ironing board & Iron, Telephone, Cable TV, Fully-Equipped Kitchen that includes a Blender, Tea/Coffee Maker, Ice Maker, Refrigerator, Microwave, and Dishwasher. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available at the pool and in the unit.

A slice of paradise

We could not have been happier with our stay at Pono Kai. The unit was very clean and was stocked with anything and everything we needed, from laundry soap to beach chairs to wine glasses . The view from the lanai was fantastic.

Wonderful Getaway location!

The room was perfect for me, and my husband had all the amenities, including beach equipment. The staff at the resort was friendly, and the views and beach access from this beautiful ground floor were breathtaking.

First time in Kauai

We absolutely loved the Pono Kai Resort and the condo unit we stayed in. The location was excellent, the view was stunning, the condo was very clean & uncluttered, the promenade along the beach was perfect and Kapa'a Old Town was a great place to shop, eat, browse or just plain stroll. The accessibility to the other shores made the location ideal. Staying at Pono Kai is definitely a "do-over".

Kapaa is a great centralized location for checking out the entire island. Walking distance to restaurants and shops and beach!

Awesome Condo and location

Condo's location in Kapaa was perfect for touring the island and seeing the sights. The condo complex and unit itself are very well cared for. Enjoyed hearing the ocean from the lanai or from the living room with the patio door open. Would definitely stay hear again.

Pono Kai Resort

We stayed here about 5 years ago and came back again. Great area to stay, quiet, beautiful and clean. Had a lovely ocean view from our lanai, area in the middle and easy to get to Princeville and to Poipu. Easy walk to restaurants, food trucks, etc in that area. Bike rentals close by with a nice wide bike lane alone the beach…price is right and would stay here again

Excellent view and access to ocean. Located on the bike/walking path. Access to town, shops and restaurants is very good. The Pono Kai Resort is a lovely property with lots of fun activities going on.

Great location!

Wonderful waterfront condo on the paved walk/bike path in Kapa'a. Comfy bed, well appointment kitchen and loved the equipment you could check out...croquet, pickle ball, golf putters, bocce. Walking into old town Kapa'a was easy on the path. Lots of food trucks and art galleries.

Pono Kai

We spent 3 nights at Pono Kai resort during our recent visit to Kauai. We enjoyed the ocean front location, exploring to local beachfront and proximity to Princeville for a day trip. The unit was exactly as advertised, well equipped and even included beach items (beach chairs, umbrellas, snorkel gear and ice chest) for our use. We recommend this place!

Great property in a great location

This nice one bedroom condo was in a well maintained complex on the east side of the island. We felt we were close enough to drive anywhere we wanted to go. We loved our waterfront view, walk-out porch and walking path only steps away. We enjoyed both the beach and the pool. Owner was very responsive. Thanks!

Laid back honeymoon paradise

We had a great time at this condo! My new husband and I wanted a quieter, non-resort type place to stay for our honeymoon and Pono Kai checked all of our boxes. The condo was perfectly stocked with kitchen, bathroom and bedroom amenities and we were so grateful there were some beach toys available for use as well! We loved the decorations and CDs of Hawaiian musicians to listen to while cooking dinner. We loved being able to sit on the patio right next to the beach, sit in the hammocks on the property, and use the pool/spa. We would absolutely come back here for a future vacation!

Great Stay in Kapaa

This was our second time at this condo. The place looked as new as when we saw it 2 years ago. Kitchen is well stocked with cooking and baking ware. There were plenty of towels for bath and beach. There were many extras like beach chairs, snorkel equipment. Lovely view of water from living area. Management was very responsive to questions I had. Mary

Everything great except the bed

The unit is fantastic with everything you could need for an enjoyable stay. Has all the kitchen appliances, two snorkel sets, beach chairs, cooler, etc. The property is great as well, with pool, jacuzzi, and lots of activities. The ONLY complaint about this unit was the mattress was so stiff that it didn’t afford a comfortable sleep any of the nights.

GREAT LOCATION AND VALUE

We enjoyed our time in Kauai. What a beautiful place, We drove all the way from Poipu to the edge of the North Shore. Thís room is centrally located and perfect for that. The weather wasn't great but we made the most we could of it. The bed is small (full size) and the mattress and pillows are the pits. Needs a good upgrade there! Thanks
