Had a blast. Kuaui has so much to offer for activities. Condo was amazing. Everything worked and clean as well. Spent our mornings swimming in queens bath. 5 minutes away

Overall great layout, had everything and then some for a week… could use more forks, there were only a half dozen or so, all the wall bottles in the bathrooms were empty. Home was great! However getting there was not, there was a very long skinny uphill pathway from parking, just gravel and dirt, they were replacing the sidewalks. A heads up from the management would have been appreciated, we had large roller bags that were useless because no concrete! Had to make many trips back and forth carrying in dirt. I hope for future renters they have this fixed. Just would have appreciated communication with this

Beautiful cozy property with comfy beds

Loved the cozy beds, a/c, and laundry in unit. North shore is beautiful. Wish it wasn’t such a drive back into town on the east and south shores, but no matter what you’re still only 1.5 hours or less from almost everything on the island. We had a wonderful week in Kauai.

Kauai trip

On arrival the unit was a mess, we spent the first several hours cleaning, washing bedding and etc. Worked out agreement with the property manager. From that time on everything worked out great enjoyed the island and the condo Thanks Tim

Bliss found in Princeville, Kauai

Being so anxious to enjoy the island, we approached the condo with crossed fingers. Never to worry- it was perfect! The location and interiors were as listed. The amenities matched our needs and Jana, the owner, was wonderful. She was patient as I asked many questionsand proved to be a great resource. I am forever grateful to her, and to the ease ofbooking, etc. I will keep this location as my go to when I ever make a return trip to paradise!

Nice place on the North Shore

We enjoyed our stay. The property is nicely furnished. There was everything that you would need. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of square footage. The only negative I can find is that the pool seemed small. The fact is that the North Shore has so much to see and do, that we never used the pool. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. Tips: If you want to park at Ke'e Beech or hike the trail, you must pre-pay for a parking space on line and they sell out fast. Check the park's website.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Punamana 25A was a great location for anyone who wants to stay in a non-resort setting. In the condo, you will find all the amenities needed for cooking (if you so wish). There is a Foodland that is a 4-minute drive from this location. Everything else was very nice & clean. However, if you want someplace nice & quiet, this might not be best for you. The neighbors were boisterous with their children. However, I didn't mind it. All in all, I would stay here again if I had to. A++

Clean, Cozy and a Great North Shore Location

This is a great North Shore location for a price that can't be beat. The condo is cute, comfortable, clean and the owner was wonderful to work with. We have family in Princeville, but needed to make last minute arrangements for another place to stay due to a death in the family leaving many relatives needing lodging for the memorial. Jana was a gem to work with during this difficult time. To top it off, the location was perfect. For vacationers, the condo is a short walk to Anini Beach, a short drive to Hanalei, and so close to great north shore beaches and hikes. My only regret is taking so long to write the well-deserved praises for this place!

Perfect, even for the littlest kiddos!

Our family of four spent two weeks at Jana's Hawaiian home. Our kids (a 4 year-old and one year-old) LOVED the "beach-house," and so did we grown-ups. Her home was really easy to kid-proof and the closets provided hours of hide-and-seek entertainment! :-) Jana's home is gorgeous and was fully equipped with useful things for our family; beach gear, towels, a portable crib, an electric grill, and lots more. Every day our kiddos ran around in the grassy yard playing with limes they found under lime trees, chasing egrets and geckos, and sniffing tropical flowers. And after they went to bed, my husband and I sat outside on the lanai and soaked up the quiet. We can't wait to come back.

The inside of the unit is gorgeous.

Beautiful inside. Everything possible was provided. The bed was so comfortable! Beautiful walk in showers. It was pretty hot because the trades were low, so was a little shocked to have to pay extra for AC. Needed a couple more beach towells. Pool area is not very exciting. We were never given a unit number and could nor get a hold of the manager . We quessed it by looking at a pic from online. Overall a nice place to be conveniently located for North Shore activities. Beach access is a little sketchy - especially when muddy. I would recommend driving to Alini beach so you can bring all your gear.

Property needs work, great location

Beautiful gardens and amazing location. The unit itself needs work. We arrived to a leaking sink in the kitchen, walls crumbling in several places, kitchen cabinet handles missing or falling off on about half the doors, particle board furniture in master bedroom being eaten away by tiny ants. Management was very responsive and had a general willingness to fix issues, but some of their answers were inaccurate (like telling me to look for things in a cabinet that doesn’t exist or not saying where exactly to find the crib even though I inquired ahead of time - had to make do without one for two days until someone could come and find it (or bring it in, not sure it was even there if a desperate mom couldn’t find it!)). There was also no dust pan for several days despite my multiple requests, which led to a maggots infestation and eventually to swarms of flies. All this made the stay rather stressful. The AC was nice to have, and the bathrooms were very clean and in good order, thank goodness.

Lovely except for the ants

Great location, quiet community, well-supplied. We had a problem with tiny ants that were everywhere in the kitchen from the moment we checked in. It was a Saturday and we immediately called and left a message with the property manager. Ants also in the bathrooms. Suffice it to say that the property manager's communications were terrible and reflected zero interest in addressing the problem. On our next to last day, someone finally offered to send a maintenance person over to take a look, but we did not want to interrupt our last day as we already has adopted strategies not to leave any food item unsecured.

Great Stay Overall

This was our second time renting a VRBO in Kauai and we enjoyed our stay at Pumana. The only hiccups we had were a miscommunication about parking and there were a bit more little ants than we expected. We made an effort to keep the kitchen countera clean, but there were little ants regardless. To be expected in a tropic climate, especially with the louver windows. The living room A/C and fans worked great. I can't speak for the master bedroom as we stayed in the green room, but the A/C in the smaller bedroom had a hard time keeping up despite it being a smaller room. Enjoyed using the washer and dryer, fully equipped kitchen (could use more food storage containers and baggies/foil/plastic wrap), and the beach and snorkel supplies. We also were bummed that there was no jacuzzi at Pumana, but definitely not a deal breaker for the price and experience. Got to experience lots of wildlife outside our door including chickens, Kane frogs, gecko/lizards, and cats. Thanks for having us!

So homey and comfortable

Our family had a great stay here. There were four parking spots for building 25 residents, and you can park for free in one of those four designated spots. We really appreciated the thoughtful, homey touches like the stacks of Kauai guidebooks, decorative pieces, tea bags, coffee, and all the cooking essentials in the kitchen, and large drying rack in the back for our towels and swimsuits. It was extremely clean and roomy. Plenty of bath towels and beach towels. Wi-fi worked well for us. It was very convenient to have the washer and dryer in the unit. I contacted the owner ahead of time and was informed they don’t provide laundry detergent; however, previous guests may leave some behind which is the case for us. They only provide starter shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in each of the bathrooms, so if you are staying longer than a couple of days, you should consider bringing your own or plan to buy some locally. We also took full advantage of the lanai closet stuffed to the brim with snorkels, fins, three beach chairs, a beach umbrella, water shoes, coolers, and pool noodles. The only downside was that there weren’t a lot of restaurant options nearby that were open when we needed to get dinner between 5-7pm. The Foodland in the Princeville Shopping Center right by the entrance to Princeville was nice, but we had better luck driving further west to the cute tourist town of Hanalei to kayak and paddle-board on the Hanalei River, which ended up being one of our favorite activities in Kauai. Anini Beach near the rental was very peaceful and would be a great place to bring a packed lunch. All in all, we had a wonderful stay here.

Outstanding--So happy with our choice

I don't know where to begin or end because we just had such a positive experience. To start, Jana is an exceptionally attentive hostess. You see this easily in at least two ways. All communications were clear, prompt, helpful, and positive. The second is in the condo itself. We couldn't believe how well equipped the condo is. She has thought of everything and then some! The beach supplies are awesome...everything you could possibly need to have fun at the beach! Fresh fruit awaited us on our arrival. The condo was immaculately clean and the kitchen had everything you might need to make meals there if you wanted to. Try to go to the local markets and also to Costco (Lihue near airport) if you are a member because food is expensive in Kauai. Highly recommend Hideaways beach nearby though the walk down to it is somewhat slippery and steep. Worth it if you can get there though. Comfy bed! Also, it was like being in the country. This precise condo is a great spot. You don't hear traffic. You are not on the ocean but Princeville is on a cliff. We left the windows open all the time. No AC needed at all...lovely fresh air. I just felt so relaxed having a siesta each afternoon after some intense morning beach activity. Well, I better not write a novel...I will just say I highly recommend this condo if you want a well-equipped, quiet refuge for your vacation. Only thing you will hear are the famous Kauai Roosters! Thank you so much for your generosity and kindness Jana! I hope we can come back to your corner of paradise someday :)
