"This room was in disrepair. The toilet seat was barely bolted down. The bathroom door handle was falling off and if you were to pull the door tightly closed the handle would come off trapping you inside if no one were on the outside to assist. The shower was a nightmare. The room was boiling hot as it was on the top floor, the was no choice but to open the "windows" (doors) which let every insect in. The mattresses were in awful condition. However, the carpet was not very clean and the bathtub was badly clogged and it took hours to get empty after a shower. We stayed there for two nights and the host promised to send someone to repair it, but it was never repaired, regardless our many messages and photographs of the problem. Not very pleasant in the heat of Portuguese summer."

"This is really a gem hidden in the center of Sintra. The property is clean and well maintained. The staff is available and very responsive. Everything you need dinning wise is at a walkable distance. Because it is in a historic area access by car or door Uber service is difficult without a QR code. Other than this, this is an amazing property and the rooms are just as shown on the booking sites."
