It's is a Romanticist castle that stands on the top of a hill in the Sintra Mountains. And undoubtedly one of the most iconic places in Portugal. And a dream come true to visit it! It is a national monument and constitutes one of the major expressions of 19th-century Romanticism in the world. The palace is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the Seven Wonders of Portugal. This was our 3rd time back and we love everything about the place!

Pros: Beautifully decorated and spacious house for 2 people. Nice location with cafes and shops within walking distance and just a short drive from Sintra's historic city center.

Great little place!

Cute place and very fresh! It was lovely to hear the rainfall on the roof - it was nice to go to sleep with the sound. Convenient to walk to great sites in Sintra (20 to 40 minutes walk). Carolina is very responsive! The little market around the corner was perfect for basic food needs - especially the fresh apricots!!! Our only minor issue was moisture since the weather is damp and cool, yet the owner was quick to provide a dehumidifier.
