Excellent location, fully equipped house

This house is strategically located close to the center of the city yet in the quiet neighborhood. The view from the balcony to Moorish Castle and Pena Palace is stunning! House is very clean and fully equipped. Maria was very friendly and attentive. We highly recommend this house for everyone!

We stayed for 10 days and can honestly say that Maria is an excellent host. She made us feel very welcome, and the fridge was filled with several essentials. Since we arrived late, it was nice to have everything we needed to start the next day. The house itself is very clean and spacious. We did find the mattresses to hard, but we solved this by placing the softer mattresses from the bunk beds in the other bedroom on top. The location is great, with easy access to the center of Sintra. We slept with the windows open because the house was often quite warm, so we would recommend providing a portable fan in each bedroom. The only significant downside for us was the noise from the local animals. There are free-roaming roosters in Sintra, and every morning around 5:00 a.m. they would start crowing—sometimes with as many as ten roosters at once. However, that wasn’t the biggest issue. The main problem was the dogs at the neighboring property. They barked loudly every single day. During the morning or evening this wasn’t too bothersome, but being woken up at 1:30 a.m., or 4:30 a.m. was very disruptive. We ended up sleeping with earplugs because the barking simply didn’t stop. We were quite surprised that no previous reviews had mentioned this, as it is by far the biggest disappointment of our stay. Finally, the house has a basement apartment that is occupied, that surprised but didn’t bother us. Despite these points, we still recommend this house because every stay is different.

Nous avons passé un bon séjour à deux familles (4 adultes et 5 enfants). La maison est ancienne, très grande et parfaite pour un grand groupe. À noter qu’il n’y a pas d’espace extérieur pour dîner, mais le jardin est luxuriant et magnifique, et les vues depuis les chambres sont très belles. La maison est située dans le cœur historique de Sintra dans un quartier cossu. La gare est à 10minutes à pied et permet de prendre les bus ou tuktuk pour visiter Sintra, ou de prendre le train pour Lisbonne (30min).Nous avons été très bien accueillis par Zica, qui a été toujours réactive pour répondre à nos demandes.

Complet et emplacement parfait

La villa est traditionnelle et authentique et cela fait son charme. L’emplacement est idéal pour rejoindre le village ou le train pour Lisbonne. Parfait également pour visiter le palais ou le château médiéval que l’on aperçoit en prime depuis la terrasse des chambres. Maria et Felipe sont aux petits soins en cas de questions ou petits problèmes. Les sanitaires nombreux sont appréciables. Parfait. Je recommande vivement.
