The property manager was fantastic about organising a late checkin for us and leaving instructions and the key. The property is easy to get to and on a lovely estate, beautiful grounds, great pools, so close to the beach and amenities. Great comfy beds, linen and couch. Maybe needs a pest spray - it is Australia and the weather is all over the place so there's a lot of bugs around but we had bites on and around our feet after walking around the carpet, and saw ants and cockroaches, and there's a well established wasp nest outside the front landing.

Short getaway
The property was family friendly but certainly not "luxury" as stated. Amenities and closeness to beach, cafes etc excellent as well as lovely grounds.

Okay overall. Appliances need upgrading, especially the stove and and the dryer. No aircon in bedrooms makes it impossible to sleep there during the day, however nights are okay. Would have appeciated a heads-up that the room is located on level 3 with no lift, as not everyone can climb three levels of stairs especially when they have back problems.

Room felt very overused and rundown, Foxtel didn’t work, batteries in remotes flat. Lounge was saggy & main bed uncomfortable. Dishes were put away dirty. Have stayed previously and was much more comfortable in another room. Have stayed in other rooms at same location aeven though older style was more comfortable and was much nicer. Have informed manager & they said they will look into the issues. From carpark to top level is 7 flights of stairs - generally ok but with a baby/toddler was very quickly troublesome.

We had a very spacious, well presented 2 bedroom apartment. It had a full kitchen, meals area and lounge area with large screen TV. The resort is in a great location. Check in staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend Flynn's Beach Resort for a nice stay in Port Macquarie.

Clean property and good location. Did not realise needs to climb 48 steps as i did bring a 84 year old friend with me. Place did not have enough sugar, or toilet rolls. No Salt or chopoing board to be found. But saying that we enjoyed the stay given the quiet location.

The only criticisms from our stay is the 25 stairs to the apartment & a very high spa bath with shower that was impossible for mum to get into. Okay for younger people but not for us, 66 & 91year olds. Having said, I mentioned this to reception when leaving & the lady said if there’s a next time please call them direct & they will accommodate us appropriately. I would recommend this property & will consider them again for our next visit to Port Macquarie.

Good location away from the bustle of the town.
Great location near beautiful beaches with the lifesaving club within a one km walk. If you don’t want to walk the beach there are lovely grounds to lounge around and the pool. The staff were helpful and friendly. The walk to the city centre is relatively easy and very pleasant amongst the native trees.

Thanks Richard for your review.Unfortunately we do not have control over Essential Energy. When they decide to upgrade the power grid in our locality it affects all our electricity,internet and telephone services. Power was out from approx 8.30 am to 1.30pm.

Great place for a holiday, resort was very tranquil and I loved the wildlife. It’s walking distance to beach, restaurants and minimart/bottle shop. Would definitely stay here again.

We got the ocean view. Amazing views. As other reviews have said, there are a lot of stairs and no lift. Worth it for the view. Apartment we got was amazing and clean. Definitely a great setup if you are planning on having at up to 10 people staying - so many beds! The aircon situation in the room could be better - bedrooms have no access to aircon and on the hot days, the fans in the bedrooms were not working well - even on the fastest speed the fans were too slow and weren't doing much for cooling the room. Add to the fact you can't open the windows very much due to what i assume is child safety and you have some very hot rooms.

Thank you for your review Josh. We are pleased you enjoyed the amazing view from the unit balcony. The large split system air conditioner cools the apartment if the door and windows are closed. Thank you for letting us know about the fans, we will have them looked at. The windows have limited opening due to Government Regulations, as is the case in all apartments.We look forward to seeing you again.

Excellent accomodation and very reasonable rates. Appartments are big and comfy, plenty of parking, with bbq area and pool. Above all, 5 mins walk either side to different beaches.

90th birthday
Nothing to really criticise other than the payment and cancellation terms. The resort grounds and on site facilities are extremely good for families and groups of friends.

unit was a good size, there were a couple of maintenance issues such as a broken dishwasher and a hotplate not working, also a loud rumbling in the roof space, maybe a hot water system.

The firm bed was good not too soft and not too hard. Sounds like goldilocks..LOL. Not happy about being on the top floor with my bung ankles due a car accident many years ago. Not happy about a neighbour running their clothes dryer after 10pm at night for about 3 to 4 hours each night.

We have two pools in the Resort both solar heated, however all heating is turned off during the summer weather so the pools are subject to the weather on the day.
