"This was our 3rd stay at Pocaterra, and the reception staff are always friendly, efficient and most helpful with maps and recommendations for restaurants and activities. The breakfast is adequate with both cold and hot options. Breakfast and parking are "free" which is getting very hard to find. You can easily walk to shops, main street and pathways along the river."

"I’m sad to say that although I was excited about this property because of its great location, my overall experience was very disappointing. When we arrived, the staff immediately reminded us that only four people were allowed to stay in the room — which we understood and respected. However, during our stay, we experienced a medical emergency and needed to cancel our remaining nights. We contacted Expedia, and they informed us that the decision for any refund would depend on the property. When we spoke directly with the hotel staff, they required a medical certificate and still refused to provide any refund. It felt very unreasonable given the situation and lack of compassion shown. Additionally, when we requested housekeeping, we were told cleaning is only done every three days, which was inconvenient and not clearly communicated beforehand. Unfortunately, due to the poor customer service and lack of flexibility during a medical situation, I would not recommend staying at this hotel."

"We've stayed at this hotel many times when it was branded differently. It is newly renovated and beautiful. The Nordic spa intrigues me but it's not cheap. The bed was amazing. This was a one night getaway for my husband's birthday and it was the perfect space."

"Lovely hotel, with a beautiful hot tub and lounging area. Our room was spacious and well thought out. Staff was excellent. I do wish there were individual reading lights at the bedside though."

"The setting of the property is breathtaking. The property itself is in need of repairs and updating. In our premium room, the large porcelain bathroom sink had a large crack and a lot of the enamel was chipped off. There were damaged light switches and a lot of wear and tear on the walls and trim. I visited this property about 15 years ago and not much has changed in the rooms and the overall look of the buildings. This restaurant is top notch, the hot tub was awesome, but the property needs significant investment to justify room rates exceeding $700CDN per night."

"We had no idea of all the renovations, and just wanted to come here and unwind. We asked a staff member (housekeeper) where the pool was and she said it was closed, it was not. The pool area was fantastic, glad we asked the front desk. The restaurant did not have the same menu as before and there was only a pricey buffet. The food was delicious, but paid too much. Overall the stay was just ok, wished we had stayed somewhere else which was disappointing, because we usually enjoy the BPL, we could have stayed at their sister hotel for less, and enjoyed the pool. The lobby is a bit chaotic with all the tour bus people, hopefully will be done soon for other guests."
