"This was a quiet place 4 kilometres away from the beautiful shoreline. We enjoyed the comforts of the place and the fact that it was away from the bustle of the town centre. "

Secrets Aura Cozumel - Adults Only - All Inclusive
10/10 Excellent
"Property is going through a renovation cycle but this was not an issue, property is in good condition, rooms are clean and very nice. Multiple good size pools and lots of beach chairs.
Food was excellent and always a nice presentation, smaller portions, but that allows for always having a nice desert. Brand liquor and good house wine.
Staff were always friendly and helpful.
Tipping is also an interesting topic at an “all inclusive.” We gave $5 for buffet, $10 for sit downs, and $20 at the more upscale dinners, $1 per drink at the pool or bar, and $5 / day for our maid.
The one thing to avoid is attending the vacation club presentation. We had a morning to kill and so we went to just kill some time. The 90-minute presentation took 4-hours! When you finally get to the end the cost ranges from $65K-$500K. Yes you read that right! Not sure who their target market is, just be for-warned.
Other than the vacation club thing I would recommend this resort. "
"We had a great time in off season. The property was clean and service was great. Ac was very cold. I love the beds and lounging. Plenty of access to towels. I loved that the food in buffets were closed off for bugs. Because it was off season it wasn’t crowded and very pleasant. The water is beautiful with many fish to see. It was so warm and clear.
Pool service was fantastic. Aaron was great. The seafood restaurant had some of the best food I’ve had at an all inclusive. Taxi ride to downtown was about $15 and 10 minutes. Plenty of seats and towels.
Cons:
Kids club didn’t open until 12.
The buffet wasn’t open at night but you need a reservation to the restaurants. The Mexican restaurant was great but we did not like the Asian.
When checking out the elevator was broken. We were on the 6th floor. I traveled with 3 kids solo and had several bags and a stroller and no one would answer the phone for help.
The spa amenities do not come with service when you book. I’ve never been to a resort that doesn’t let you use the hot tub or sauna if you book a service. We all had massages and weren’t allowed to use the amenities."
"It’s a good place if you looking something calm and family friendly. So relax and the rooms are pretty good. Drinks are ok, the buffet it’s good, sometimes I was needing something more but again, for price and package is a good deal. The beach is beautiful! So calms and relax. Clean room, same with the bathroom. "
"Clean property, excellent service, good food, snorkeling area right in front of property, near cruise ship shopping and 10 minute taxi ride to downtown."
"Everything was wonderful. Staff excellent! Typical buffet food for breakfast & lunch. Dinners were delicious. Be prepared to walk A LOT! We had premium (front of building facing the ocean) & we still walked 12,000+ steps per day. Resort is beautiful. Beach amazing. Pools huge! Fun for anyone any age. If you don’t enjoy this resort it’s your own fault. Take the trip! You won’t regret it."
