"Great place on the Cornwall/Devon border, equidistant from the stuff you can do in the Southwest. The food they serve is great, as is the staff I interacted with. An EV charger in the same parking area is very helpful, as well. I was surprised that my single room didn't have a TV. "Had a great stay, only stayed one night but on arrival we were greeted by the reception staff, they were very friendly and helpful. The room was lovely, clean and spacious. The facilities at the hotel were amazing, we enjoyed making use of the pool, steam room and sauna. Plenty of parking and it was reasonable too at £7 per night. Location is great too, close to town centre, and the theatre. Would definitely stay here again."

"The hotel was in a beautiful part of the country surrounded by a golf course. We unfortunately did not get to enjoy any of it but were put in a very strange ground floor outside room behind the hotel and next to the bin store and goods delivery entrance. All windows were visible from an outside seating area so we had to close the blinds for privacy. The bathroom didn't have a blind, so you took your chances of indecent exposure to onlookers from the public seating area. Breakfast however was well cooked and presented but no cereals or fruit was available as is usual in this type of hotel. All in all a fairly dissappointing stay but I imagine rooms inside the hotel with a view would have been a lot nicer. When you book a rural country hotel you do expect to be able to see some of it."
