"Excellent property. Everything feels new - solid wooden internal doors, downstairs wet room, spacious kitchen/diner, bi-fold doors to patio and garden...We were 4 couples and thoroughly enjoyed our 3 nights. It's about a 10 min walk to the town. You need to cross the road to get to a path - as it's on a bend visibility isn't great so it can be a bit hairy - if you're planning on staying with kids you'll need to be extra careful. Overall I highly recommend this property."

"My family and I had an amazing vacation at this incredible well appointed Lodge. So conveniently located for all the main attractions and only a stones throw from the beaches on both sides of Cornwall. The creeks are amazing, and the setting of the Lodge is so tucked away and private with every mod con that you need. We loved it here and enjoyyed heading off for walk from the Estate. As a family we couldnot recommend highly enough! Thanks to all of the Lodge team for an experience to remember!"

Harbour Hotel St Ives

8/10 Good

"We enjoyed the Hotel and its amenities eg indoor pool, jacuzzi, wet and dry sauna plus the spa. I had a massage and one of the best at a hotel in the UK. The room was comfortable and bathroom a good size. However, the bedroom window with views of the sea was small, so disappointing but will upgrade next time as the views are so worth it! The location of the hotel is ideal for using the train and access to the lovely sandy beach. Walking to the centre of the town is about 10 mins and easy but coming back is all up hill so be prepared as there are no buses. If you love seafood St Ives has plenty. The hotel bar area and dining room deliver the amazing views too with food good! We will be back next year in June instead of May for warmer weather. And finally the staff were friendly and helpful."

"The castle resort was perfect! Location is also amazing, with views of the actual seaside and the town. Perfect for couples, friends, and family! Uphill walking from the town or seaside could be challenging, but perfect for exercise and healthy living. There are taxis and buses available, but we chose to walk back and forth the town and seaside all the time because of the amazing views. Couldn't find any fault at all except for the response time of staff over the Expedia app. Location was just above / up north St Ives train station. Everything was perfect! 😁"

Bedruthan Hotel and Spa

"Bare with me, this may start off poorly, but it gets better. Initially, when we arrived at the property, we felt disappointed. The outside of the property looks really run-down. Scaffolding, dirty white paint. Just tired and old. Like a neglected school. However, once inside things improve, massively. I found it warm and inviting. Staff are friendly and helpful. Everything looks in a good statenof repair etc. The room we stayed in was large with a lovely bath and a sea view. Bed was overly firm, but everything else was lovely. No snacks in the room, there was cold milk and water in the fridge. The bar area is nice. Lots of seating, free pool table, good selection of drinks and an outside area. The spa was lovely (have to book between 10am and 6pm) with large hot tub, seating, sauna, steam room and a hammam (recommend). Decent size swimming pool also available. Good location for the coast path, Mawgan Porth is lovely, though not much in the way of shops. Continental breakfast was epically good. Lots of choice, amazing baked goods, made on site and good coffee. If you want a cooked breakfast as well, its £8. Didn't have myself, but looked amazing. Did eat in what i think is The Wild Café. Prices are not cheap, but i suppose thats pretty standard for a hotel restaurant. Burger and chips is £24, as is wild mushroom risotto. We had a croque monsieur and a side of fries, which came to £18 each. delicious, lots of filling and great chips. I can't say more as I've run ou"

OYO Newquay Beach Hotel

2/10 Terrible

"We checked in to the hotel and were taken to our room, the stairs up to the room were filthy with stains and marks all over. We arrived at our room and the member of staff read out the code for our room out loud in the corridor, so anyone that overheard could have had access to our room. We stayed for about 5 minutes before checking straight back out again, as the room was beyond filthy. There were bits of dirt all over the carpet, and the teaspoon that had been left on the side for us to use for tea/coffee had a dried coffee stain on it, so obviously hadn’t been changed over since the last guests. We booked the room because it was cheap and in a good location, and the reviews seemed good. However, the hotel is awful and I wouldn’t recommend anyone stays here the lack of cleanliness is beyond belief. Avoid this hotel and don’t be fooled by the positive reviews. "

The St Ives Bay Hotel

8/10 Good

"Small double room with a perfect sea view. Our room was very clean and comfortable but could a done with a new window and a paint job. They is a bar and lounge area with a nice view, but we didn’t visit it. Parking behind the hotel but limited and you need to book it in advance. There is a lift up to the 2nd floor which is a blessing if you have lots of luggage. The staff are polite and welcoming. Ideal location to visit the town and beach a stones throw away! We didn’t have breakfast but it was £12 and you need to book before the night. Complimentary tea and coffee and milk and sugar and built in soap and body wash dispensers. Great value st £100 a night for a double with sea view. Could have done with more space by the wi how to admire the view in our room."
