Exceedingly private, you access the beach via a private slipway exclusively for residents of Smuggler’s Cove. With private parking directly outside, this is a uniquely premium property, in a glorious beach side location.
Sleeping four, the cottage has two bedrooms.
As you would expect, one bedroom has an ensuite and a balcony overlooking the beach/sea, with a luxurious picture-postcard view for wave watching. You are close enough to the ocean here to be lulled to sleep by the sound of the waves. The other bedroom, ideal for children, has two single beds which can be joined to make a king-sized sleeping space.
The lounge/dining area also provides spectacular sea views to make dining a delight. This unbeatable property is the stuff of dreams.
Downstairs is a garden/games room with utility room, plus a kitchen with adjacent storage area for pet sleeping or seaside equipment.
Outside is decking and a seating area overlooking the beach, so it is easy to choose which time is best to go for that romantic seaside walk. Recliners, shielded from the sea breeze by a glass fence which still allows for fabulous views, makes it easy to relax away from any crowds, choosing the best beach times for yourself. Location was lovely.
Driveway was very difficult to manoeuvre in and out of
The garden was really just patios - not ideal for dogs
Upstairs bedroom ceiling hight was ludicrously low - my wife is 5' 2" and even she was bringing her head
The property was lovely, very clean and well equipped. The easy access to the beach and shops was perfect. Access to the property was ok but it is up a hill on an extremely narrow road (width of an Amazon van which managed to drive up and down!)and you have to go down to the bottom, the other side, to turn round before you can drive out, not for the faint hearted! BUT I would still recommend it especially if you have children as the beach is a very short stroll away and it's lovely and sandy.
We had a lovely couple of days staying at ocean edge, the house is equipped with everything you need and the views from the windows down onto the bay are just breathtaking! The house is situated in a beautiful location and Charlotte was a friendly and efficient host!
We had a thoroughly fabulous holiday - for location and setting we could almost have been in the Maldives.
Stunning countryside for superb walks with the stupendous power of the sea rolling in creating an awesome back drop.
Charlotte is a very attentive host and is concerned that everything is right and she is always at hand.
Ocean's Edge is just as described and is cosseting yet spacious and of course, very comfortable with all the facilities one could need.
The one big spoiler though was that we had to return to the real world!

the property had fantastic views over the bay, every thing needed was in place nice welcome pack even for the dog.
the only down side was the very narrow road to the property and the very limited entrance to the property apart from that no complaints.
This is a magical place. We absolutely loved every minute of our stay. The property has been so thoughtfully planned out with literally everything a guest could hope for, organised and well executed. Extra dog friendly touches were just lovely too.
It is a gem of a place in a beautiful location.

Portreath is a cute little town with easy access to the A30 so fantastic for day trips. You’re also right by the South West Coast Path so bring your walking shoes.

We had a really lovely holiday at this property. The location is excellent as it overlooks the beach at Portreath. There are lots of good walks and places to visit nearby. The standard of the accommodation is first class. Overall we would definitely recommend this property as a place to stay for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday.
Magnificent setting in very well appointed property which more than delivers on every front. Portreath is the perfect place to unwind with magnificent walks and beaches and friendly, authentic local eateries. Highly recommended.
