"We decided to stay here for a restful break in early Winter. Not unexpectedly it was rather cold and wet outside, but the Unit was wonderfully warm and well insulated despite the weather. The bed and couches were very comfortable and the kitchen was easy to work in. We chose to bring a slow cooker and air-fryer which meant we rarely went out for meals. The hot water worked well and the hosts were helpful and friendly. My husband uses a walking frame but this was easy to manage in the Unit. The elevated position of the Unit was a bit more demanding for packing and unpacking the car but the view of Mt Gambier township from the Unit was great. "

"We stayed overnight on our way to Melbourne and loved it. The kids are already planning are trip to come back and stay for longer. Staff were lovely, the cabin was great and had everything we needed and there was the indoor pool that everyone enjoyed. Definitely recommend staying here. "

"Except for the burnt smell and the burnt water smell and the hot plate stove and only one bathroom and no food in fridge and fan in bathroom not working and small sized pool table and freezing in garage other than that everythjng was good"

"The house has such a fantastic layout. Sleepin' and cleanin' is done downstairs while the eatin' loungin' and chillin' all occurs upstairs!House is really well stocked and ample room for everyone including the four legged kind.John the host was fantastic and went above and beyond any other host I've ever dealt with.Not only did we feel welcomed, we felt wanted."

"Beautiful and simple property on the end of Cape Douglas, straight on the beach. If you like having a fire inside or outside in family or a few friends, this is a little paradise. The house is nice and neat. Shallow waters in front, walking distance from heavier waves. I will def come back in summertimes. "
