"Accomodation was larger than it looks in the photos, which was a nice surprise. The beds were comfortable, however I would take earplugs as I struggled to sleep due to the cars going past outside. I had to go and buy some from the town centre. At night the cars whizz past really fast.
The listing states that there is free parking but this isn’t true- you have to pay for it. I have asked Hotels.com to amend this as it’s false advertising. The reason we booked this hotel was for the free...

"A lovely place to stay in Ashover. Staff were kind and friendly and the accomodation is quiet and comfortable, if a little lacking in detailed maintenance in places. But despite that, I should be happy to return in the future "

"The staff at The Bear Inn are terrific: it’s a family-run business and nothing was too much trouble.
