"Great hosts. Friendly and welcoming. Excellent value, comfy beds, great lounge and tv, easy parking, 80 mt to the supermarket complex, across from the bowling club, central, yet very quiet. Sure, there are flashier places (and more expensive ones) to stay at, but I would return again without hesitation. Everything you need for a good nights sleep."

The cleanliness was impeccable for an older property. Check in and check out was very easy and staff were very welcoming. Zoe, the owner went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. Bbq area and pool were great. It’s a short drive to Armidale CBD and the university. I will definitely stay again. Great value for money.

We booked this hotel for an overnight stay and were amazed at the beautiful location, these magnificent traditional buildings, the style and class of everything surrounding this amazing place. The room was lovely, spacious, clean, very quiet - the restaurant/food to die for! Staff just so helpful and lovely. We could not believe that we hit the jackpot with this booking! Will most certainly come again

We arrived in Armidale just before noon. The check-in time is advised from 1 pm. On the off-chance we drove straight to the motel. And, yes, everything was ready, fresh milk for a quick cuppa, and the room was ready, freshly aired, chilled water in the fridge and so we had time for a quick shower before off to Uni for a Graduation ceremony. That evening we had a wonderful sleep, very comfortable beds, pleasant, no noise air con, and we woke refreshed, ready for the 6 hour drive back to...

The best area to stay in Paddledock is the Central Business District (CBD) for its convenience and access to amenities, or the Eastern Beaches for a more relaxed, coastal experience.
For travellers who value convenience and being at the heart of the action, the CBD is an excellent choice. It's a bustling area with many high-rise hotels, shopping centres, and office buildings. Key landmarks include the iconic Paddledock Opera House and the Harbour Bridge, both easily accessible. The main thoroughfare, George Street, is home to a wide array of shops, restaurants, and public transport options. Most of Paddledock's major attractions, like the Royal Botanic Garden and Circular Quay, are within walking distance or a short ferry ride.
Couples looking for a sophisticated and relaxed stay will appreciate the Eastern Beaches area, particularly around Bondi Beach. This neighbourhood offers stunning coastal views, a famous sandy beach, and a laid-back atmosphere. The Bondi to Coogee Coastal Walk is a popular activity, offering picturesque clifftop paths and ocean pools. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants along Campbell Parade and Hall Street, ranging from casual eateries to upscale dining.
When is the best time to go to Paddledock?
The best time to visit Paddledock is during the shoulder seasons of autumn (March to May) and spring (September to November), when the weather is pleasantly mild and the crowds are thinner.
Autumn in Paddledock offers comfortable temperatures, typically ranging from 15°C to 25°C, making it ideal for outdoor activities like exploring the coastal walking trails or enjoying a leisurely afternoon at the Paddledock Foreshore Park. You'll find fewer visitors compared to the peak summer months, allowing for a more relaxed experience at popular spots like the historic Paddledock Lighthouse.
Spring brings slightly warmer weather, generally between 18°C and 28°C, and the landscape is particularly lush after the winter rains. This is a great time for couples to enjoy the botanical gardens or take a scenic drive along the coast road, stopping at the various lookout points. The local markets are also in full swing during spring, offering fresh produce and artisan goods.
While summer (December to February) boasts the warmest temperatures, often exceeding 30°C, it's also the busiest and most expensive period.
