We stayed in a family room. It was very spacious, clean and comfy. The Inn is not far from Kendal cbd (less than 10 min drive). The hotel does do dinner, it is a little pricey tho. The included breakfast was quite good (cereals and full english breakie style included in our stay).

The staff were amazing, food was devine and atmosphere very welcoming. We were extremely comfortable but suggest may be time to replace mattresses.
If we are ever back this way the Brown Horse is where we will stay!

After travelling around the UK for four weeks, this is one hotel we can wholeheartedly recommend. Great food, great service, good room. The only complaint we thought we were going to have, was too much light from the exterior lights coming through the curtains, but we had overlooked that the window also had a blind!

Really enjoyed 2 nights at this property. Our room was clean and comfortable with a view over the peaceful countryside. Although not large we had what we needed. The staff were friendly and helpful adding to the cosy atmosphere in the bar/lounge/dining areas. Breakfast was more than adequate and would recommend the restaurant meals.

Lovely hotel in a picturesque village on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales.
Great room & bathroom, nice decor and comfortable beds.

Rooms are tidy, coffee and tea available in the room with towels, soap and hair/body wash available only.
The bathroom let the accomodation down for us, it wasn’t very well cleaned -pubic hair around the bath tub, and the toilet seat was...
