Red Rock Inn

"This is a very quirky old hotel that has definitely seen better days. Having said that, it was so lovely to check out Red Rock and get off the beaten track of highway strip motels. The rooms are old and I am sure if the walls could talk there would be some rather interesting and amusing stories to tell. The bed comfortable and the AC worked which was appreciated. Room and bathroom clean. The breakfast left a bit to be desired - cereal and some muffins - not toaster for toast. The staff were great and super friendly. Overall, it was the experience of staying in a hotel that was old, quirky and must have been absolutely spectacular in its day. A note - there is not much in Red Rock in terms of restaurants and everything closes at 6pm or earlier. We had homemade Pizza from the convenience store run by a father/son duo - and met some interesting locals while waiting. If you are expecting luxury this is NOT the place to go - if you are up for an interesting experience, and okay with staying in a unique hotel - this is for you. Keep your expectations in check - it could use with a paint job and new carpets but worth it if you are willing to have a bit of an adventure - Oh and check out the basement - it is a throw back to another time."

"We had such a great stay- this place was sooo amazing! So cute, right on the lake- the view is of sleeping giant,which we did go hike through. We did the kabekaka falls, the suspension bridge, went bowling - the hosts are wonderful- love the visit from the property dogs(Sailor and Daisy Mae. Monica was very nice and everything was excellent about the cabin. The grass is like carpet . Enjoyed our stay so much, thank you for everything!"

"The room works well for 3 people. Two beds away from living area where there is one bed. We would have appreciated a toaster in the kitchenette. Not all the lights switches worked. Good place for a quick overnight"
