"Good solid Condo with a nice kitchen, living room. Bed was comfortable. We chose to drive around the island so we did not spend every day there."

"We enjoyed our stay. We stayed for a week. We did not rent a car and were fine without one. We could walk to a nearby plaza where there were restaurants and a grocery store. We took two snorkeling tours that departed right off hotel property. We enjoyed Tuesday food truck night and the Farmers Market. The pool was nice and the kids liked the slide. Some renovations occurring. The game room was closed. There is a bus from the plaza that takes you into old Kona Town where there is night life and lots of stores and restaurants. This hotel worked out well for us. On checkout day we didn’t fly out until late evening and they stored our luggage so we could enjoy an additional day in the area."

"This is a nice, well-located unit. The pool area is great, you can sit and watch the surfers and snorkeling is a 3 minute walk. Unit is well stocked and although we didn’t really cook it was nice that there were some condiments and spices available. Downsides were that the neighbors above were really loud starting around 5-6 am. Just unlucky with that one. There was some maintenance that happened during our stay and we were surprised to have someone working in the unit upon returning from an outing. The owner had sent a message but I did not receive it. There was a chemical smell and we could not use that bathroom for the remainder of the trip. Had to keep door closed and fan on. That was really inconvenient as only the master bath was fully functional. Unit was clean. Check in was easy. "

"This property lived up to its exceptional reviews! We explored the entire island, and this location was perfect for our numerous day trips. The home was beautiful... clean, well maintained, and fully stocked with everything needed for at home and day trip activities! We spent most of our time on the deck enjoying the ocean view in the oversized swing. Our host was excellent in every way when we reached out to her. We will definitely be back! "

"We had a wonderful time at the Big Island Retreat! It is for an adult who is seeking some chill time, tucked away in the trees, birds to watch, and feel the ocean breeze. Recommend for people who are okay without AC (went in March and wind was enough to keep us cool and sleep well), who are okay with quiet hours (I loved them because the sound does carry which makes ocean hearing good), and who want to spend most of their time outside or off exploring. This was perfect for our needs because we had plans to go and explore everyday and then come back just to sleep. We enjoyed not being on a big expensive resort and felt more naturally placed in the area. Our room had a bathroom, a sink, a mini fridge, a coffee pot, and dishes. There is a communal grill and larger fridge with a communal dining table. Washer and dryer available in the main public space. The public space has an open air roofed garden which is quite beautiful. We saw lots of birdies and geckos. "

"This house is amazing! It was perfect for 3 couples, we had lots of space to roam around and do our own thing when we wanted to. The snorkel beach across the street was the best snorkeling we had on our trip. We also went to Kauai. There were so many different fish it was amazing! The house was clean and comfortable. Thank you for an amazing stay! If/when we come back, we would definitely stay here again! Mahalo!"

"All rooms were clean, the host was in good communication with us during an extreme weather event. The place was more spacious than we thought and our kids loved it. My only suggestions is to make sure you have a high clearance suv to make it down the incredibly steep driveway "

"This property wasVERY MISLEADING!!!! The 4th bedroom is a very small room outside of the house with NO FACILITIES!!!! You have to walk down 2 flights of stairs around the corner in the middle of night to use restrooms!!!!! We booked 4 bedrooms this is a 3 bedroom and a room outside of hose in garage. Please don’t be deceived as we were!!!!!!!!!!!!"
