I stayed here for a week and loved it. Great location with Otsuka station a short stroll from the hotel. The beds were one of the comfiest beds I have experienced in Japan. The breakfast choices were great, delicious and a generous serving, you will not be left hungry! The staff are also amazing and so friendly making you feel really welcome from the start.
I would not hesitate to stay here again.

This is the second time we’ve stayed here. Both times as a family of 5 staying in 1 room.
We didn’t spend much time in the room or hotel other than to sleep but it was spacious and well appointed.
The hotel is very close to 4 stations and only a short walk to Tokyo Dome and with plenty of eating places close by.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Hotel NIWA. As a solo traveller, this is a lovely, safe area. Although I felt safe overall in all locations.
After much research I chose Hotel NIWA as I love the serenity here. It’s so peaceful, away from the busyness & the crowds, however a great location, close to all with such great transportation & so many fabulous dining options close by. The food is fabulous here.
The service standards are excellent. I found all staff so friendly, courteous & so helpful....

Really good hotel in a great location a short walk from the JR station at Ikebukuro. The area around the hotel and station has a number of department stores and hundreds of small shops, bars, restaurants and everything you would need during your stay.
The JR line is the main line that does a loop around most of the places in Tokyo you would want to visit plus there are a few other lines that have a stop at this station.
Overall a great hotel in a fantastic location and I enjoyed my second...

Absolutely loved my stay here, and would definitely stay again. Location is great, really clean, rooms aren't super cramped, great amenities and supplies, etc. Just an all-round amazing stay and 5/5 experience.

Great location and hotel. Great place to come back to after full days exploring. Train stations close by. Love being in a hotel that feels like you are in Japan. You will not be disappointed.

Great location in Shinjuku if you want to be where the action is at.
If you take the limousine bus from Haneda Airport, it will take you to the hotel building. It’s also relatively close to multiple train stations. Had a great view of the city from the bedroom.
Arrived early and was able to leave our luggage at the hotel until checkin. Check in was easy and the staff had already brought our luggage to our room from when we had dropped it off in the morning.
Digital checkout was easy and didn’t...

An unforgateble expirience and the best value for money hotel ever!
The location was great with heaps of restaurants and supermarkets at the hotel’s doorstep and 2 different train lines within walking distance. It was so convinient to get around!
Good amenities and clean and comfy mattress and pillow! I have to say our room was facing the main street so it was a bit noisy at nights but the hotel offered earplugs.

This was my favourite hotel in Tokyo for so many reasons — Location is convenient and walkable to/from convenience stores & train stations including Keisei Ueno Station for Narita Airport access; Rooms are spacious and bright and very clean; View of Ueno Park and Shinobazuno Pond from the room is breathtaking; All staff are friendly and welcoming (and my family would like to especially thank Do who was very helpful during our stay!); Check in/check out process was easy and check out is...

Small rooms but good amenities as is typical with APA. Older facilities at this one, washer and dryer not as efficient as others, and hotel restaurant told us they were closing when we turned up at 7:30pm. Otherwise gorgeous area with a lot of charm and traditional shops, quieter than the busier neighbourhoods.
