"This hotel is adorable and perfect for travellers who want to save some money while staying in the jungle. The pool is small and intimate - perfect for plunges and cooling off while sun tanning, the yoga Shala overlooking the jungle is beautiful and staff are so friendly. Only issues I had here was I could hear the person in the next room over moving and coughing all night (no sound proofing and very thin walls with the shipping container design) and the bathroom and bed area had ants all of the walls (this isn’t a sanitation thing, it’s just the season in CR). Staff provided me with ant spray to control the spread and it seemed to work after a few hours. As long as you know about the thin walls and potential bugs based on the season in Nosara, this place is great. I also want too happy that I booked a double room w a terrace view overlooking the mountains but was “upgraded” to a triple room with a garden walk-out. As a solo traveller I wanted to more secluded double room w mountain terrace and didn’t want the extra bed. They had given my room to someone else by the time I checked in and didn’t want to honour my specific room booking type. "

"This property is world class. The guest relations team is so friendly and helpful, the rooms are absolutely stunning and huge! The pools are gorgeous, poolside service and restaurants offer healthy and delicious options. Breakfast is included- panoramic views of ocean, river and mountains, the property is well maintained and in a super safe neighbourhood. Offers yoga classes and a variety of activities. Well worth the 10 min drive from Playa Guiones for some quiet serenity. Can’t wait to stay here again next time I return to Nosara! "

"The area was wonderful, however pictures looked better than the property itself. There is space in the windows and doors that allows for insects and lizards to come through. The property is not properly insulated so the temperature is not controlled well from room to room. There was dried blood on the walls and the pool patio. The stove also did not work properly at times. We ended up needing to use the grill to cook. There is a smaller bedroom that has a double bed that was not cleaned before getting there. The living rooms are limited in furniture so if you wanted to all get together and hang out in the living areas, likely half would need to sit on the floor. The housecleaning and pool cleaner were excellent especially with any concerns like changing the sheets in last bedroom. The concierge was also great. They were great to get adventures scheduled. However, for the price of the place, it was very much disappointing overall."

"The room was wonderful and bright. The staff did an amazing job at cleaning it and keeping it fresh. the entirety of the gilded iguana staff was kind and helpful. the breakfast was delicious and there was a variety of good eat options. the whole resort was well air conditioned and we never felt hot for a second while in our room. The kids club is amazing and the pool is pristine and the perfect temperature. and it is only a five minute walk away from a stunning beach. i definitely recommend the gilded iguana."

"We enjoyed being able to stay in a modest place that still had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Carlos was easy to communicate with and his aunt kept our place clean during our stay. This definitely was not an upscale home but it fit our needs perfectly."

"We absolutely loved the house. The privacy was unreal, the views were beautiful, and the house was more than we ever expected. It truly had everything we needed.The kitchen was huge, the layout was amazing, and having a washer and dryer was super convenient. We used the grill a couple of times—it was brand new, clean, and worked perfectly. The second-floor pool was such a cool touch and something we really enjoyed.We had an amazing time and would 100% stay here again. Highly recommend."
