"As this property is currently For Sale, there are a few areas that could be better serviced. The pool is lovely, the loungers not so much. The Guiones area in general is going thru tremendous "gentrification" (construction) with much turnover of businesses and escalated prices on everything. It would be paradise if they could limit the motorized vehicles - but that is highly unlikely to happen. Progress has eaten up another beautiful spot. "

"The room was nice but dark. I suppose the rooms on the second floor are nicer. The staff didn’t seems to like their job. Or tired of girats maybe. Nice pool area. Note that this is a family hotel. It is not a calm romantic place. Breakfast was poor. I think that americans are the target for this hotel. "

"Beautiful house, easily accommodated our group of 12. Indoor and outdoor kitchens were well-stocked. It’s a five minute drive to the grocery stores in old Nosara (Megasuper, Los Cartagos for fruit and veg) and Guiones beach for fancy baked goods and upmarket organics. Having two rooms separate from the main house gave the folks travelling without kids a bit of a refuge (we had four children aged 2 - 7 in the group). Pool is delightful in the middle of the day when the beach gets too hot. Kattia was very helpful and responsive over WhatsApp. Would go back in a heartbeat if travelling again with a larger group - thank you for hosting us!"

"Unsure what makes this an eco retreat aside from the fact they ask you to bring your own water bottle to refill with water they provide and there is no hot water for showers. The property has a lot of potential but it felt maybe slightly neglected. There was a lot of debris on the ground, the kitchen area was really dirty and the room had rusty racks and shower curtains that allowed water to spray out all over the floor. With that said, it is the cheapest option in the area (a fantastic location) and works if all you need is a roof over your head!"
