"This week, we had the pleasure of staying at Chestnut House, a charming property built in the 1920s, probably by my own great-grandparents. The experience was both relaxing and inspiring, offering a unique blend of historic ambiance and modern comfort. From the moment we arrived, the character of Chestnut House was immediately apparent. The architecture and original features, such as the exposed original log walls in the kitchen, wide moldings, and metal roof, transported us to another era while still feeling inviting and cozy. The house’s classic design created a warm, nostalgic atmosphere that made our stay truly special. The rooms were spacious and thoughtfully decorated, blending period details with comfortable furnishings. Large windows filled each space with natural light. We appreciated the modern updates in the kitchen and bathrooms, which made our stay convenient without detracting from the home's original character. Nestled in a quiet neighborhood, Chestnut House offered a peaceful retreat from the bustle of daily life. There are chairs, a hammock, and a fire circle near the Piney River, creating a sense of communion with nature. The combination of the home's history and the welcoming environment made it easy to unwind and create lasting memories. The house was extremely clean and included everything you need for a great stay. The hosts have outdone themselves!"
