"Conveniently located near all the places we would like to visit. I would have given it a 5 stars, the only thing we don’t like about is the optional paid breakfast, the food wasn’t good."

"The family room was very comfortable and featured a cozy lounge sitting area. A refrigerator and microwave were provided, which added to the convenience of our stay. There was also a public bath available on the top floor, which was a nice facility to have. The hotel also offered a selection of amenities in the lobby on a "take what you need" basis, which was a thoughtful and environmentally friendly touch. There was also a drinks vending machine available for guests to help themselves at any time. One area for improvement would be the laundry facilities. There were too few washing machines available, and the dryers were not very effective, as clothes were still damp even after running for an hour."

"Overall, I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean and well maintained, and the hotel provided everything needed for a comfortable visit. The main drawback was the room size. Even for Tokyo, the rooms felt quite small, which may be challenging for guests with larger luggage or those staying for an extended period. The staff were polite and friendly. While some requests were handled more effectively than others, they were always courteous and made an effort to assist. Breakfast was good, although I would describe it as slightly above average rather than exceptional. There was a decent variety of options, and it was a convenient way to start the day. The hotel is not located in the heart of the city, but transportation is very convenient. Several metro (Iidabashi) and train (JR) stations are within a short walking distance, making it easy to reach Tokyo's major attractions. While the hotel did not particularly stand out compared with some other places I have stayed, it offered good value, a comfortable experience, and reliable access to public transportation."

"Staff were helpful but the queues at check in are long it took me 30 minutes waiting to get to the check in desk. There was so much luggage just left in the lobby with no one moving it to rooms. People were sleeping on chairs in the lobby. The lobby looks very modern and the cafes however the rooms are far from. When you enter you feel like you’ve been taken back in time to the 70s old phone carpets look outdated and the bathroom was not clean there was mould in the bath which put me off using any of the bath or shower facilities. Only stopped over one night but I’m glad I didn’t stay any longer."

"This is my third time staying at this hotel. The location is excellent, the rooms are quite spacious for the area, all the staff are very friendly and speak excellent English, and the onsen (hot spring) is a great facility. I will definitely come back next time I'm in Tokyo."

"My friend and I had our annual week trip and Sakura was just right where we needed it to be - not too far from main areas (transportation, markets, restaurants plus Ueno) but well located at a neighborhood area. The staff was very easy to communicate with and was very helpful from checking in to when we have questions to getting a taxi for us when we checked out. The rooms and the shared areas are always cleaned. The room itself is straightforward - a clean bed, clean floor, a table and a working AC and a window - perfect for us who was gone most of the day. I would just say that we only ate once at the free breakfast as it was only toast, soup and coffee/tea - you can buy your own full breakfast. My friend and I rarely got hungry in the morning so we skipped the rest of breakfast for the next 4 mornings. I do would like to say, the bunk beds was surprisingly comfortable and I was on the top bunk so I slept good every single night. Overall, I would stay there again if I ever come to Tokyo! A lowkey but international type of stay. Oh! Did I mention, the 24/7 access to in-house drinks and food was a huuuuge plus for downtime. Thank you for having us Sakura"

"Great 3 day stay. First time staying at an APA Hotel and I was not disappointed. Outside of the room being cramped, which is to be expected in Tokyo, everything else was fantastic. Exceptionally clean room and bathroom. The room is nicely decorated with all the items one might need. The check-in/check-out process was a breeze. The front desk was always helpful and friendly. Their English is well enough to not create language barriers. Its location is ideal. A subway and train station just a few minutes walk away. There are countless places to eat and shop. Ueno park is less than a 10 minute walk where you will find ponds, museums and a zoo. I recommend APA Ueno Ekiminami."
