Perfect stay

Third time staying in these cottage's, think that says it all. Hillary is a lovely host and the cottage had everything we could have asked for. I’m sure we will be back

Homely cottage in a beaitiful location

The property was wxactly as pictured and desceibed, the hoat was friendly and helpful and tyhe aureoubding area was perfect for walking pur dog, who also enjoyed his stay. The little cafe next door was a great bonus for breakfast and you're only a minutes walk from the bus stop on the main road with great transport links into Newcastle

Great home from home & location

Lovely tranquil location amidst countryside, easy drive to nearby places of interest. Dog friendly. Well equipped kitchen, bathroom and cosy living room and bedroom with all amenities to make this a great home from home stay for a couple of days. Warm welcome, friendly, attentive service from Hilary and staff. 1 minute walk to cafe for excellent breakfast, which we ate outdoors in sunshine. Excellent value, with the bonus of a free pass to Beamish Museum, which saved us 50. Short drive / walk to nearby pub and restaurant, both with excellent food. Chinese takeaway also delivered promptly. We'd gladly recommend and return to any of the accommodations on this site

Dogs first holiday

Bit difficult to find initially. Worth stating entrance is opposite Causey Arch Inn. Once there, cottages are are lovely, clean tidy and everything you need for a short break.Walking to Tanfield, the railway on a weekend

Lovely little getaway

After needing a dog friendly base to visit family over the Xmas period, I stumbled across Roxy's cottage online and it was in the ideal location. Set near the countryside and a short walk to the iconic Causey Arch it was perfect for a stroll with the dog through the woods and a paddle in Causey Burn. The accommodation was clean and tidy and ideal for a couple with a small kitchenette with a ceramic hob, microwave, kettle and toaster and utensils. The decor is modern with a very nice bathroom with bath and electric shower. Overall we had a lovely stay and I would definitely book again in the future.
