Free parking on the hotel forecourt. Good size room with quaint furniture features. Great Price. The breakfast is excellent, £5 for a full English, plus cereal, yoghurt, biscuits drinks etc. Will definitely go back soon

This is a nice hotel, excellent value for the price. Friendly welcome - not particularly by design, I was right on the nice and early check in time of noon and my room was ready. Ample off road parking. A little out of town if you're walking but "local" supermarkets are nearby. Convenient for the coast, RSPB Reserve. Again, for the price paid it was great value and I would definitely stay again.

Amazing hotel, amazing people. Comfortable and safe place. Nothing is too much trouble. When things are getting you down its refreshing to meet some genuinely nice people. They don't know you, but treat you so well. Thankyou all at the Balmoral.

Nice room with terrace which was a bonus. Great shower and floor was quiet. Not much in the way of facilities but it's a 10 minute walk to the main street in Southport so no problem. Second time I've stayed and would stay again

A nice hotel offering value for money

The hotel needs a bit of updating and tidying up but the service and friendliness was excellent. The hosts were so obliging and helpful. Our room (15) was large with plenty of drawers, a fridge, excellent shower with hot water, and sliding doors leading on to a patio area that led into the garden. This was perfect for our dog. It was in a very quiet area not far from the town centre and Marie served an excellent breakfast. It was excellent value for money. I would recommend it and we will definitely return.

It was great. Great staff very helpful. But I could not plug in the kettle due to the shortage of sockets. Also one of the guests decided to put their TV on very loud at 0330 hrs in the morning.

First night wasn’t great cold room but 2nd night they moved us to a garden room which was much better. Lovely gardens to sit and relax the bathrooms and bedroom are rather tired but ok for the price

Quiet area with parking which is good and an easy short walk to the shops. The accommodation is tired and dated. We were given a large room with two double beds but unfortunately the sheets on both beds had been used and were creased and stained. We spoke to the French lady on reception who was very pleasant but she could only find one clean sheet and a duvet cover and these were used to replace the used bottom sheets on the beds. One of the beds did not have a mattress but an uncovered piece of foam without a fire safety label. The bathroom window had a large crack across it, the sink was cracked, the toilet seat was loose and there were large areas of black mould around the bath. The towels were large white and fluffy. The freshly cooked breakfast was excellent although the choice of cereals was very limited and sugary. The best part of our stay was meeting the very pleasant, friendly and helpful French lady.
