A decent hotel, but as others have noted the lack of parking is an issue - we parked a 10 minute walk away. The room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was good. Would thoroughly recommend the Indian restaurant within the same building.

Had a 2 night stay here when dropping my daughter back at University. Convenient for Jesmond & Newcastle City Centre shops and cafes/restaurants. Hotel is a bit tired looking but was fine for the time I was there. Bonuses are free parking and Chakh Dhoom Indian restaurant next door if you don't want to go far!

The location is great and it’s very close to the local Metro station so you can get around the area easily. That said, this is a budget hotel so I was managing my expectations. The room was clean and tidy but it would be nice if they could clean the mould off the grout in the bathroom. I also got the impression that the hotel was a side hustle and that the Indian restaurant on the ground floor was their main priority - because what else can explain the fact that the corridors and stairways smelled strongly of curry? I booked this hotel because it was meant to be a quiet one (a fact implied by their refusal to accommodate hen and stag parties) but unfortunately there was a party in the bar on the Saturday evening and music was exceptionally loud and could be heard throughout the hotel, even in my room. When I spoke to reception staff (at the time and also the following morning) they said they knew nothing about the party and there was no manager available to talk to. I probably won’t be booking with them again.

Staff were helpful ensuring heater was in room during my visit in cold weather. Nice breakfast and spacious dining room. Area felt safe (single traveller) with a few options for restaurants a short walk away.

Staff were lovely and friendly. Very helpful regarding the busses and metro. Hotel was quiet and the room was comfy! Perfect location for Jesmond dene parkrun with the 11am checkout meaning I could get back and shower before having to leave! Would stay again!

Clean and comfortable

Stayed here before as it’s a nice, quiet area, and only a few minutes walk to the cafes and metro. Friendly staff and clean, comfortable and quiet room. Only stayed one night and didn’t have breakfast but we’ll stay here again if we need to.

Fabulous team, great location for drinks and a meal as so many options on Osborn Road. Thanks for accommodating us with a late breakfast after parkrun. Staff couldn’t have been anymore friendlier and welcoming. Indian Restaurant is amazing. Would highly recommend.

Really tired inside, sink was grimy and shower was falling down. There is ‘liquid soap’ in the shower but no shampoo or conditioner etc. the staff were absolutely lovely. The room was grim to be honest, but if you want a cheap room to get your head down, it’s okay. Just remember your toiletries!
