"The owner was very responsive and quick to answer any questions we had, and the view of Lake Nantahala from the porch is absolutely beautiful. The house is also very large and has two lovely master bedrooms, each with its own bathroom.That said, we were disappointed with the condition of the three bedrooms on the main level. Our bedroom had a queen bed and a daybed, but no bedside tables, no dresser, and no bedside lamp. The only lighting was a ceiling fan with five exposed bulbs. The carpeting throughout the house is old and worn, and the bedrooms were very dark. Overall, the house felt dusty and in need of a thorough deep cleaning and some general upkeep.The house has a wonderful setting, but the condition of the property did not feel consistent with the approximately 500-per-night price we paid. The two master bedrooms were very nice, but even those would benefit from replacing the old carpeting and some updating.For anyone traveling with dogs, there is also very little safe space to walk them. The only option is along the side of the road, where there is very little room when a car approaches—you are essentially against the mountain on one side or close to the edge of a drop-off on the other.We were also surprised that there is no trash pickup at the house. Guests are expected to put their trash in their vehicles and drive it to a dump. At this price point, we would expect trash removal to be included with the cleaning service."

"Our stay was great, very spacious and could accommodate quite a few people. The host was very accommodating and very helpful and very nice as we are a motorcycle ministry, this place suited us fine for a Central location. For North Carolina, Tennessee and Georgia, and it was an extra bonus that , the people that owned it had their own ministry. So, it was a great connection. The price was very reasonable. And we had six guests and everyone had their own bedroom. We will be using this place again. The garage held 6 Harley-Davidson."

"Overall stay was wonderful. Beautiful home, and outdoor setting was peaceful. Host provides great instructions and responds quickly. The home is very clean, and has everything you need. Definitely will come back on my next trip to North Carolina."

"Had an amazing time. The house was great, hot tube was relaxing, dock and kayaks provided great access to the lake. We even rented a pontoon boat for the day from the marina."

"Lovely small house in the mountains, on top of a hill. We came to stargaze (Perseid meteor shower) and once the constellation rotated above the treeline, we were not disappointed.We were looking up in the dark, and it wasn't really 'til checkout that I noticed the great daytime mountain view from the front porch. Wonderful!Nicely-equipped kitchen, modern appliances. There was an air fryer when we came; didn't see that pictured.Starlink Internet was fine. Attended a Zoom club meeting while there: no trouble. Cell service is not great, neither is GPS quality (in a valley on the way): Recommend you print the last leg of your driving map to make sure you have it. WiFi calling let our phones connect once we were at the property.Know that there's a very long gravel drive, and it goes uphill. Consider whether your vehicle will manage it (my 2WD Tacoma did fine. Wouldn't bring a Lowrider or a Ferrari.).Our host was kind, rapidly responsive, right on top of everything. Great stay, fantastic getaway from the city."
