"The motor in was very clean and comfortable. I could see that the owners have been renovating it bit by bit. The pool and gardens looked beautiful, we received a warm welcome, the bathroom was very nicely renovated and the walk-in-wardrobe/dressing room was very convenient for luggage storage. The kitchen was quite old but spotlessly clean and whilst at first I wondered how I could cook with just a milk pot and small fry pan, I managed it fine! It was lovely to sit on the couch in the late afternoon sun and read. The TV was of high quality but hardly used. The bed was a bit hard but fine for a couple of nights. It had electric blankets as promised. The standout was the cleanliness of the property and the friendliness of the owners. I'd highly recommend staying here, and would return in future."

"We loved our stay at Lakeside Retreat - perfect location, clean, very comfortable and spacious, very well equipped kitchen and we felt quite "at home" in the house. Fiona and Richard are great hosts and easy to communicate with, check-in/out is very easy & there is no need to fuss with keys etc! Would love to return, Nagambie is a wonderful area and we enjoyed a beautiful lunch in the restaurant at Tahbilk Winery. 5 Stars to Lakeside Retreat from us (4 Adults - 2 sisters and our husbands who don't see each other often as live in NSW & WA!) "The property is in a good location, with an easy walk into town and around the Lake area. Bedrooms are very comfortable, heating and BBQ are very good. "
