We absolutely loved this hotel. Everything about it was more than we could have asked for. Fantastic staff, great room, convenient location, wonderful conveniences offered, such as loaned umbrellas and free water filling station, and affordable. Buy the breakfast with Expedia. It is a lot cheaper!

Great hotel, convenient location
Very nice hotel, feels very modern and new. Location is amazing, about 15 mins from the city centre on the tram which is right outside the hotel. It has great amenities and restaurants around it too. We were upgraded for free which was a really nice surprise. Parking is relatively expensive at 30 euros a day but you are in Munich and there are free alternatives around it if you have the time and patience to find them. If we ever stay in Munich again we will not look anywhere else but to stay at Scandic again.

Hotel staff was very difficult and unpleasant. All rooms are very small. Do not book the 4 person room unless you have very small children.

Pros: - The rooms themselves are nice, with a large bathroom, adjustable beds and blackout curtains. - Staff were friendly. - Close to tram line 21. - Close to Aldi/Lidl Cons: - Location far from the centre. Though well-connected through tram line 21, it can still take >30min to get to some parts of the centre and nearly 1hr to the airport on the S-Bahn. - Wasn't cleaned properly, I found hair on furniture and nail trimmings on the floor that got stuck on my socks... It wasn't incredibly dirty, but small things like this really make you doubt about what else has not been cleaned and combined with the the issue below made me much less likely to stay again. - They clearly cut corners in service/cleanliness during your stay. Under the guise of being eco-friendly, they won't clean your room unless you specifically request it. You can do so by scanning a QR code in your room, but when I did nothing was cleaned. The rug was still dirty and the trash hadn't been emptied. They have an option for a "deep clean" but they don't explain what it means, and sweeping the floor/emptying the trash cans don't count as deep cleaning by any stretch of the imagination. Sorry to be blunt but this was disappointing. - Mini-bar was incredibly tiny, could barely fit anything in there. Other: - Breakfast was OK. - Basic gym room was a plus. Children were running amok and unsupervised in there one evening. Would suggest to parents to control their children for their own safety.

Was very happy with the area -- quiet, clean, close to Ostbahnhof, great German restaurants in walking distance -- perfect for someone who has seen the altstadt before and not so interested in the main tourist spots. Room was very clean, smelt fresh, a bit small, quiet, dark, and the bed was extremely comfortable. Stayed for 3 nights and slept deeply each night. Professional staff -- but the night staff was a bit rude. Building seemed new and room seemed newly renovated. Biggest issues was the sleak new shower had trouble draining! So it was too easy to get water all over the bathroom floor. Also felt like a 4 star hotel -- but was missing some of the basics of the 4 star hotel -- no closet in the room, no tissues, no telephone, no mini bar selection. The problems are minor and easy to overlook, so would consider staying again when in Munich next.

We did not like very limited variety of food for breakfast. The other problem was that cooked food was never warm enough. What happened? We stayed only few months ago at Scandic hotel in Frankfurt and breakfast buffet was fantastic.

The property is environmentally friendly. They don’t provide individual shower gels which I understand. However, there was no shower gel left in our shower gel container. Perhaps the housekeeping should check it more frequently. This is only a constructive criticism otherwise our stay was very pleasant.

We really enjoyed staying at this hotel. We were in the city for the festival and it is very easy to get a cab there or use public transport to get to the city center. Beds are amazingly soft and big and the room itself is big and modern. Staff is very friendly and helpful, especially would like to thank Esli for his fast help, because we asked for the early check in and it didn’t take him even 30 mins to arrange that. I would definitely recommend to stay there!

Very spacious and clean rooms. Lots of windows and light. Comfortable bed. Gym was quiet af with good equipment for a quick workout. Idk how I got such an amazing rate for my stay but it was sooo worth it. Hop on the 21 tram to get into town. xx

Wir waren für drei Nächte dort und haben ein Superior Zimmer gebucht. Wir haben eins in dem 9. Stockwerk mit einem wunderschönen Blick bekommen. Die Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut und schmackhaft. Das Hotel liegt in einer ruhigen Gegend, die Anbindung zum Zentrum der Stadt ist mit dem 21 Tram hervorragend. Das Hotel ist sehr sauber und neuwertig. Wir können das Hotel uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.
