Cozy mountain cabin bordering national forest

"We had a great time. The cabin was perfect for our needs. It was close to everything we wanted to do. The cabin is attached to the Pisgah National forest. We were able to hike right behind the cabin and drive up the mountain to the visitor center. We enjoyed antique shops, used bookstores, blueberry picking, apple picking, and trout fishing. We also visited the 1st Forestry School (Cradle of Forestry) museum since my husband got his degree in Forestry. The weather was perfect. I would love to come back in the fall to enjoy the beauty of it all. We were hoping to see the bears that were in the area, but no luck."

"The cabin is very cute, with beautiful views and very peaceful surroundings. We had everything we needed, Tammy was great answering our messages.And the location is great! Close to everything.My dogs had a great time as well!We loved to get in the jacuzzi after a long day of hiking and swimming in the river. Hopefully we'll be back soon for fall."

"Stoneybrook was a wonderful rendezvous location for our group of 5 from 3 different states. We enjoyed the covered pavilion, especially when it was rainy. Cooking together in the well-stocked kitchen was a pleasure.Everything was very clean and comfortable.Elmer was a great host and easy to communicate with."

"This is the 2nd time to stay here. It is remote on a creek with a screened in porch to listen to the running water. So peaceful! Yet, so well located. Close to Asheville, Blue Ridge Parkway and area towns. Close to Biltmore, RiverArt Colony, Grove Arcade,etc. we will definitely return. It has become our go to retreat."

"Cabin was clean and very secluded. Perfect if you want to be completely away from others. Would not recommend a large vehicle due to the narrow drive with steep drops. Back porch was literally in nature. Really relaxing."
